Accident Pics

Its never a happy time when you hit a tree...Just at a glance looks like my balljoint is broke, shokes bent, rim chipped bad, and tire with it....and the side fender is mashed bad....front bumper is bent...but not cracked... I saw no frame damage

Definitely fixable. Try to do most of the work yourself to save some bucks. Good luck.

Doesn't look that bad (as long as the frame's straight). You're probably going to need: new spindle (hey here's a good excuse to get a 1LE setup ), maybe an LCA (rebuild your front suspension with some poly bushings too). Def. going to need a new fender and hopefully your bumper cover isnt cracked to hell.... good luck dude

I don't think the frame is bent, although where the battery sits and that area might need a little tweaking. If anything in the frame is bent it would be the rail that the fender bolts too, but I doubt it.

Hmmm 2 trees in less then a month.

I have an odd feeling Mother Nature has it in for Camaro's..

I guess Firebird's, being animal's, are just in touch with the world.

Ill tell u guys what happens...but how much do you guys think i could part out my camaro for if it gets written off? i got 350 in there tpi...good condition... basically everything is in really good condition other than the **** that got effected by accident...its an 85 Iroc-z

I just wana know which way i would get most money out of it if the frame IS ****ed....the insurance....or parting it....

That was lame.. the Drunken_Polak being Drunk? Although, I'm upset you guys beat me to the joke!

Brakes... it's all about having good brakes.

Balljoint might or might not be screwed; best bet is to get a lower control arm and spindle out of a junkyard, bolt 'em up, limp to your local alignment shop, and hope they can align it. Hopefully the center link, idler arm, and passenger side tie rods aren't cookied. (Although the idler arm is a "wear part", it wears out just because of the design of the car, and we've probably all replaced it at least once by now.)

You should have no problems fixing that damage. If it would have been me i'd ran over the cat, its better to not mess up your car than hitting a small animal. I'd feel bad doing it but not as bad if I would have messed up my car.

Yeah thanks for the help guys...

Im gona see if my insurance writes it off or not...if it doesnt....then i only gota pay $200 for all damage but if they DO write it off...(and frame is still ok) im probably just gona keep it and fix it myself...even though im a noob with cars still...it will be a good learning experience

But yeah the balljoint IS broke...cuz I picked it up off the ground after the insident
Luckily I found a guy here parting apart his camaro...so ill just get all my stuff from him

Last year I took a corner too sharp and hit a HUGE storm drain on the side of the road and completely screwed up my front suspension. It was alot easier than I thought it would be. I had never done any thing like that before and had it done in a week working on it between school and work. Also, you can probably get a fender and a salvage yard for pretty cheap. They are a snap to put on.

GOOD LUCK!!

Nate

Hmm, 85 with a 350? You swapped that in right?

Dude, a piece of advice. If any cat, or dog ends up in the road, I'm hitting it. I'm not going to swerve and risk my own life, or risk anyone else life around me.

Just my opinion though.

Get your car fix, she looks like she was a real looker before!
