ASC may still do it, but you'd end up cheaper if you just bought a vert and switched everything over.

BTW, dont' take that as rude, it's just that they were charging ~4K when they were doing it, and even if they did it now, i'm sure it'd be more.

You can find a Vert for 4-8K depending on condition (some even lower).

ASC no longer exists.

its not a real cost effective thing to do..... it would require so much custom work, pieces, bracing and time that you could easily buy one cheaper.....

ASC does indeed still exist. The two ASC facilities that did the conversion of t-top Camaros to convertibles have been closed for nearly 12 years. One was located in Livonia MI and did the conversion for cars coming out of the Norwood OH plant. The other was in the City of Industry CA and did the conversions for cars coming from the Van Nuys CA plant. Both facilities closed when the GM factories supplying them with cars closed. The have no parts nor the desire to do this.

The ASC facility in Livonia does still indeed exist! It is located on Autry Drive and performs OE paint and mold production work for GM and Chrysler programs as it has for years.

Seriously though, just buy a vert to begin with. At this very moment there are 3 listed on the classifieds, and one is only $1500

Fatal88's car used to be a hard-top, then he made it t-top's, then he made it into a vert. His bodyshop may do the conversion for ya. Money talks.

really?

then again, this is the same guy who pretty much seamlessly put a 4thgen front subframe/clip on the camaro and mounted the 3rdgen fenders to it... and has a 4thgen body control modual... and well... 4thgen everything.

lotsa work in that car.

if he didnt have a flame job and painted it a solid color, itd look like it came stock that way.

Yea, I tripped out too when he told me it used to be a hardtop! He does good work!

He's probably the only person I would take my car to if I wanted to transform my car into a vert.
