what cars have big enough turbos?
what are some common cars that hold big enough turbos to make a twin turbo smallblock f-body? i have 2 3rd gen supra turbos which are CT-26's and somebody told me they are to much of a "high end" turbo and i also have 2 2.2 chrysler turbos TEO4H's which someone else told me they were too small. there are plenty of cars out there with turbos in the local junkyards. volvos, saabs, dodge, lots. i just need to know which ones to get. and if anyone knows about the CT-26's i have i would like to use those or the TEO4H's. thanks for the help

Chrysler 2.2s are about 135 cid so the turbos are suited to the small block I read some time ago that the to4 turbos were the ones to use on twin setups for small blocks but I haven't done one myself

with a tpi engine you would want a little more high end than you'd think it's tough to get a 3rd gen planted n/a combine that with it running out of air at 4800 you'd want the turbo to force feed the motor above 3500 IMO i would recommend logging on to mkiv.com(supra site)some of those guys are running low 10's they'll be able to help you as far as the turbo specs and applications.

Guido is correct. For the airflow requirements of a V8, use 2 stock GN turbos. The CT-26 turbos from a MKIII Supra will also work. In a pinch, use 2 TD05H-14B turbos from 5-speed DSM cars.

The T3 tubos off of 2.3 turbo coups work well. You have to resize the turbin housing A/R to .82 and change the compressor wheel to a 60 trim and you'll have some very decent power on hand. It should make around 10 lbs of boost.

I know I'm a little late here, but I made over 500rwhp on a bone stock 5.0 (FORD, I know, I know) in my mustang. The only thing I messed with use the EEC and the fuel system.
I used two t3 turbos with the .48 A/R housing, which are the smaller of the two that come on the t-bird turbocoupes. The T3 is basically the 'standard' in JY turbos...especially for fords, I would assume that a 5.0 or 5.7 GM would be the same.
So has anyone built a kit for the third gens?

I was going to use 2 T3's with .60/.63 AR housings. I have since changed my mind, due to the sheer cost of even a basic setup. I am going to sell the 3 T3's I have, and save so I can make a better run at biulding a turbo engine.
