Dual snorkel air cleaner setup

I have the air cleaner, the two hoses, and the left side duct.

When I got this setup the right side duct was discontinued and I never found a used one. So I just used the factory LG4 one, which I still have if needed. I modified the air cleaner by removing the flaps, they were pretty rusty anyway and repainted it. The K&N filter is included too.

$100

Let me know if you want more pics or anything else.

Thanks.

Re: Dual snorkel air cleaner setup

The price doesn't include shipping. But from other people showing interest, I quoted them at $10, so thats what it'll be.

It was on my 86 LG4, I pulled that engine a long time ago and its been sitting around my garage for sometime. So I figured I better make some space. Yes it will fit the TBI.

Re: Dual snorkel air cleaner setup

Alright, its all boxed up here. PM me for shipping details and whatnot.

About the MAT sensor, I really don't know. The stock single snorkel aircleaner on the TBI is the same as the LG4, that I do know. I was able to put on the dual setup and not have any problems. You might want to check the TBI board. My guess would be it doesn't.

Here is pic of the inside of the aircleaner. I believe the two holes are for mounting the MAT sensor.

The two holes are for the heat sensor--as I recall the sensor opens to apply vac to the Thermac system when the car reaches a certain temp, and the flaps in the snorkels open. There is nothing else. The dual snorkel will fit a TBI car.

Ok one more question james....Will this have any clearance issue's with the compressor or the emissions equipment with the added passenger side snorkel and tubing??

Didn't when I added the system to my LG4 (which I no longer have), but the compressor is on the driver's side. Note the pic:

Re: Dual snorkel air cleaner setup

Hey bro im sorry to announce that I am officially withdrawing my bid on this sale...Due to a lack of clearance room over some of the air equipment were the passenger side snorkel would mount on the 89 305 TBI L03...Hope you can sell this bro...If im informed that I have made a mistake and there is indeed ample clearance..I will purchase this.

I'm gonna guess that he doesn't have it anymore. A lot can happen in 13 years.

Wish I still had that air cleaner........ it was installed on my 91 RS and I should have pulled it back off before selling the car.

You can make your own, look at JY aircleaners, find two the same.

Cut a few holes, weld/etc them to your base.

I mean it's up to you as to how it looks, and functions.

Me, never was concerned about cold air intake. Never fought for .001, open element always served me well. <gasp>

All the scoops and ducts have been discontinued since the 90's. Until someone starts reproducing the parts, they're going to be pricey.

Re: Dual snorkel air cleaner setup

I'm good. I had several of the L69 air cleaners back in the day. I've still got one with practically NOS ducts and decent scoops. Holding onto it for a rainy day. Haven't had it on anything since 1998, aside from a very short stint on a 80 Malibu. Sure don't need any more of them sitting on the shelf.
