Aluminum Drive shaft

I have an aluminum Drive shaft. It will fit any 82-02 f-body manual or automatic. It will work with some after market rears. No u joints, i will install some if so desired(for cost of u-joints), but otherwise it is clean and ready to go. save weight!
$150 bo shipped anywhere in the US.

IIRC, it won't fit TH350's 82-83.

The p/n should be on the tail of the shaft (a metal label of some sort): 10085375.

Awesome. It does not have the transmission yoke or differential yoke correct? It's ok to use my factory yokes? 92 firebird TBI?

Should be the same. If you want, for the price of the u-joints, i will put new u-joints in and include the old transmission yoke. The rear u-joint is strapped into the rear axle with 4 bolts. Whereas the front is joined to a yoke that slips into the transmission. Whatever you want to do. Just let me know.

Re: Aluminum Drive shaft

The rear/differential yoke is aluminum? Will my stock front and rear yokes work? I think I am going to take it off your hands. $150 shipped to Illinois? Right?

I also assume that it has no issues while it was installed prior to your upgrade?

Never saw this till now...hmmmm

IIRC a stocker steel is maybe 20-21#. I weighed mine and it weighed 11#. I think 1 pound rotating weight saved is the equivalent of removing 4 pounds that's not moving.

There is no rear yoke. The u-joint slips into the driveshaft through the two holes, then the other half of the u-joint is strapped to the center section of the axle via two pieces of metal and 4 bolts. Really quite easy to change.
