89 IROC-Z convertible with new 383 stroker.

I'm selling my IROC-Z convertible. It has about 40 miles on the new motor. The transplant was done at 106,xxx miles (car was a daily driver till then) repainted the engine bay, installed a full MSD ignition, custom powder coated TPI set up with bored runners for 8% better flow, trick-flow 30lb injectors, Moates memcal computer, hydraulic roller Cam, Comp 1.6 roller tip rockers, new radiator, Stainless braided trans lines, ceramic coated Flow-tech headers, magnaflow exhaust, and more. New parts within the past two years- shocks, springs, struts, new convertible top, ball joints, tie rods, center link, front tires, the car needs a final tuning and the price is adjusted accordingly. I drove the car home from my friends garage where we did the transplant only to find out that a much bigger Cam will change the vacuum pressure to the brake booster! I learned this the hard way and kissed a guard rail on the way home during her maiden voyage I've added a brake booster which has helped allot. You will see the damage is minimal and it only effects the lights on that side which is to be expected. I have all the parts to fix it to include a fender and an entire front clip assembly along with new headlights, turn signals, running lights and paint. The car is very solid and has very minimal rust, most of which is on the back Axel. I'm throwing in a few extra goodies like 3.73 gears, weld in sub frame connectors, etc. I've owned this car for the past fourteen years and it has been cared for. It has a few blemishes where it shows its age, but it's overall in good condition, I even opted to keep the factory air conditioning. I don't need to tell you guys that the value of these are going up and these verts are getting harder to find. Don't waste my time or yours with low balling offers, I've got $7,000 just in the motor/swap so I'm asking $5,000 and I believe that's my bottom dollar. If you have any questions please ask or if you need any pictures just let me know. Thanks for your time

Are you sure the car is a real Iroc Z? The steering wheel and lack of the Iroc Z fog lights and Camaro emblem on the dash makes me think that it is a RS Car. JIM

As embarrassing as it sounds, I've come to learn that this car is indeed a sport coupe. Whoever had it before me went thru allot of trouble trying to make it look like an IROC-Z. I'm not hiding anything, and don't really think it's possible in this crowd since we have people like JIM here that will make you look like a dick in front of everyone instead of PMing you about a mistake. Happy hunting gents, my situation has changed and I'm keeping her for now.

Karistanker---- That was not cool to comment saying that I was a dick for questioning what your Camaro really was. I was just trying to help you with what exactly your car was. I have had over 20 IROC Z RAGTOPS so I know what the hell I am talking about. Sounds like your a little bitter. JIM

OK, apparently I need to brake this down "Barney Style". I never said you were dick. I said you made me look like one in front of everyone that read my add. Furthermore, I call BS that you say you were just trying to "help". If that was your true intention, you would have taken a different course if action ( i.e. personal message), instead of essentially sabotaging a sale ( which you may not have) but over 500 members read your reply. This means you have potentially swayed their opinion and made me look like I was intentionally misrepresenting my car. I shouldn't have to tell a 60+ year old man to think about what you say before you say it, but here I am. Do you understand now? It looks like others can differentiate...

I read the whole thread & I don't think anyone made you look like a dick. The post says IROC convertible which it is a sport coupe that has been cloned. If you want to be upfront & sell the car for what it is a PM doesn't help others who may not know they are looking at a cloned car. Granted the Sport Coupe might be more rare but it isn't more sought after.
I bet if you change the ad to list the car as what it truly is, no one could have interjected any thoughts trying to help.
