First EFI build. $8D
Ok so this Is my first EFI build I am using a 1991 Firebird 305 TPI on my 1969 327 in a 1987 s10. Nv3500 trans. 227730 ECU, AWFY bin
Long story short I physically cracked the knock module on the memcal. I am going to go with a megasquirt computer once funds let me but for now hoping I can just run it without the knock module. Ive been told over at EFI gear head that it should run like this. I have now removed it from the MEMCAL does anything need to be jumped?
Also can I run without a VSS signal I have a NV3500 in the truck and that uses a 40 pulse. I am not using cruise control and its a 5 speed so I am not sure why I would need a vss except I know it helps with Idle mixture or something like that.
This is also my first time using tunerpro RT. To my understanding with the 730 ecu I use $8D and the AWFY is replaced with AXXB so I use AXXB. So with the parameters for TCC, knock, AC add idle and such Do i just delete them since none of that stuff is wired or what do I do?

You will need to disable the knock sensor and forced knock test in the programming.
Or you can use a external esc through pin B6 of the 730. This would require you to install a 3.9k ohm resister on the memcal from pin 30 to 32.
Use a manual transmission bcc

If your no sending a ac request there will not be a adder to the target idle speed.
Use a drac and the optical input on c6 of the 730 for a vss signal other wise you will be stuck in block 4.

Re: First EFI build. $8D
Thank you So it looks like I should use the AXXD not AXXB. I see the post from RBOB on how to disable it but Im not 100% sure I follow I will read it all again see if I understand this time.

I just dont follow because it says 0x20C and 0x20D but HEX numbers dont have X's L's or any of that stuff FF is the highest value you can have (255). Im sorry I am very confused. So what address and table needs to be set to FF?

Ok so now the VSS issue. I read it needs the VSS signal for the ESC. The nv3500 gives a 40 pulse can It be programmed to read the 40 pulse? IE the road speed constant reads 4006.96 so can I just set it 40?

The vss signal needs to goto a drac or a then to the ECM. The vss signal helps control fueling an iac control.
The drac will convert the vss magnetic pulse to a optical signal. In order for the ECM to see this input you will need to change the vss flag.
You were looking at the vss ip divisor output.
Don't forget to uncheck your vats flag.

I already uncheck the VATs and Vats Diagnostics. So I need to do like this? http://www.tbichips.com/drac/ and use the out put for the cruise control coming from it?

Re: First EFI build. $8D
other than the vss I guess all I have left is tune out the EGR and canister purge, Does the AC need to be tuned out or just don't worry about it?

Re: First EFI build. $8D
Don't worry about doing anything to ac functions in the programming .
The egr flag 32 uncheck , raise mat to enable egr to a max setting to disable.
Same thing with the air pump no malf.
The drac output you can use the 2k ppm signal.
Of you don't have a drac and pigtail getting one at a junkyard from a 87-92 k truck .

Fox body 5.0L or the 4.6L v8. These are two bar 19#hr but I'm assuming you will be at 3 bar. The Multics are prone to coil failure .
Here is a link that has a application listing for bosh 2s

Re: First EFI build. $8D
I will be at 3 bar. They look like they use the same connector so no need for pigtails? The injectors that are on the unit I pulled are 7 #21 350 injectors and 1 #19 305. I guess one failed on the P/O and he just put his old one back on.

Ok I have one last issue. I need the pin out for one connector. Here is the post I made on here about it.https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tpi/...ness-help.html
