Tyler's Project - 85 Z28 TPI resto/mods

hey all i used to be a member on here over a year ago, and now im back, about 2 years ago i sold my 1985 Z28 305 tpi but i just got it back, i found it on the side of the road blown up and abandoned by some kid, well anyway i saved her and now shes home in my garage, it has a 305 TPI with a 700r4 and a 3.23 posi disc brake rear, when i had it it pulled a 224hp/304ibs torque on a dyno, now im startin a 350 swap

parts of teh 305s crank and bearinngs and even a section of the cam shaft came flying outa the side of the oil pan. ill post pics of them soon

Siphon it out? or a vacuum of some sort? I brought a siphon from oreily or autozone.

Re: Tyler's Project - 85 Z28 TPI resto/mods

Yea well it doesn't surprise me the kid knew nothing about cars and went from a turbo 89 supra to this, I gues he figured he could rev it to 9,000 rpms to, the part that really got to me is he just abandoned it where it blew up though, left keys in it took his stuff out and rolled.... Poor car, oh well she's home where she needs to be now and almost running!

Re: Tyler's Project - 85 Z28 TPI resto/mods

hey bud, if u put as much blood sweat and money into a car, to stupidly sell it and find it like that, ud do what you had to to get it back to, all that matters is it was left for dead and i brought her home where she should be and have been tearing the car all apart and starting over,.

WELL bad news i end up having to work tomorow so no camaro time, if the rain holds off sunday MAYBE it will, and ill get the motor all buttoned up, maybe. ill get what i can done
