ALDL terminals...

Got an 88 5.7 GTA with run issues. Can you start and run car with A and B connected? Any way to make it stay in closed loop and bypass sensors?
Thanks for and info

Unplug the O2 sensor, should stay in OL.

But why would you want this?

Re: ALDL terminals...

Thanks for the info. I am kind of stuck. Trying to figure out why the car suddenly dies after a few minutes of running and it begins to warm up. It starts right back then dies untill let it cool off.sometimes starts a little rich. No SES and fuel press good.

yes you can start and drive the car with the A&B terminals connected. its called "field service mode" the CEL will flash depending on if its rich or lean. a factory service manual works wonders here as far as questions

Re: ALDL terminals...

It sounds heat related, check your basics, so you have spark/injector pulse after it dies, fuel pressure, ohming the injectors after it warms up and dies.
