700r4 to 4.3 truck t-5. Have few questions...
I have a firebird with a 350 tbi. I know the bellhousings are the same for the 4.3 and 350s. But I heard you have to change the tailshaft housing as the third gens have a slight angle. Is the transmission itself a direct bolt in or do I have to change the tailshaft housing for that angle. And do 4.3 trannys have 10 or 27 spline shafts?

Oh ok so do you think the nv trannys would work? If not then will a mustang t5 work? I know I'll still need the output shaft housing but do I need to change the input shaft?

Yea. But not trying to spend over 200. There's one off of a 3.4 on craigslist for 75. Just need the belhousing for v8. But of course no phone number just email. So I gotta wait for a reply

V6 from a 4th gen uses the ford pattern so it won't mount to a sbc. Considering all the parts needed you're not doing the whole swap for $200.

Yea. I don't wanna pay over 200 for the transmission. I'm getting the master and slave new. And pedal assembly online i can't find one locally. And then the console cover. And crossmember.

They're out there, but you gotta spend some time looking. I wouldn't mess around with trying to make one fit, find someone parting out their car and just ask for everything you need. It took me awhile to find exactly what I wanted, but I got the whole setup for 500. Pedals, trans, cross member, shifter, master/slave. Bought a new clutch/ pressure plate from rock auto. Just gotta hunt down a manual shifter plate for a firebird, found out the hard way a camaro shifter plate won't fit a firebird lol

Where to start...
Torque Arms, thirdgens have em. They bolt to the tailshaft of the transmission. Aside from some 4th gens, any transmission that didnt' come from a thirdgen isn't going to support the torque arm mount. You can relocate the torque arm mount, or go to an aftermarket torque arm, but that'll consume most of your $200 budget.
Shifter location. The T5 from anything but a thirdgen is going to have the shifter in the wrong place.
Bellhousings... Any SBC pattern bellhousing will bolt to a SBC, but thirdgen T5 bellhousings have the transmission mounted at an angle.
$200 might buy a junkyard transmission that may or may not work. But thirdgen V8 T5s are hard enough to find that you probably won't find one.

Re: 700r4 to 4.3 truck t-5. Have few questions...
$200 T5 is a pipe dream. Let's break it down.
$200 T5, that is more than likely broken (or it wouldn't be $200)
Rebuild kit, that'll cost ya a couple hundered more
Harbor Freight Press $200
Output shaft (if you can find one on ebay) $100
Now your $200 T5 has cost you $700 and hours of labor & its still not in the car.
