Ever heard of this G-tech alternative?
I found this 'Tazzo VPC' while searching for G-tech's website off of yahoo. It's cheaper and 'claims' to have more going for it than the new G-tech comp. pro. or whatever (the $250 one).
Here is a comparison of it and others including the new G-tech:
http://www.tazzo.com/tazzo/perf.HTM?source=overture
Here is the skinny on all of its features, some if which are quite impressive (emphasis on the dual-axis accelerometer):

Anyone gotten a chance to play w/one of these?

It's easy to believe, most of the hardware is off the self stuff. The firmware is easy to write/debug (CPLD). Built to a company's specs in a cheaper labor country (probly on a production line just next to the G-tech thats next to the Alpine line thats next to....). Don't have to pay the overhead of a cheesie comercial.

Thanks for the replies fellas.
The Tazzo seems to have most, if not more, of the features of the new $250 g-tech at about 2/3 of the price. I will have to say I feel that the display on the new g-tech gets close to justifying the extra $90 over the Tazzo.
Anyone have any 'real world' experience with any of these?

I have the G-Tech Pro and it has 3 accelometers and also is upgradable by software download, they will be adding features as it goes. The article you read is not all the way correct, it says G-Tech has no Temp. compensation but it does. There were two or three things else I saw they said it didn't do but it does. They are also giving free software soion where you can download your runs and analyze themn and then print them out just like a dyno. Customer support is great. Well worth the money.
