Not sure about quality, but customer service wise I've read nothing but problems about them. Do a search on here. - From what I have seen, they seem to be a distibutor for factory blemish stuff. That's why the topline heads they sold came with 2.08 intake valves. They were supposed to be sold as blemishes, but they failed to pass that info on to customers. Then people ended up with heads that had an odd ball valve size, and less flow because of it.

Your talking about ENGINEKITS.COM - Stock and High Performance Engine Parts | 661-861-0167 right? I have their 383SK kit in my car right now. No problems here. Customer service was pretty good to me. However 700 is a little cheap. I had everything done and balanced for 1200 i think it was.

HEY SHAGWELL, Thats not a odd size valve. 2.08 is large for a small block thats not got any bore size to it, but if you have a larger SB like say a 400 Plus cid then they work really great. You just need at least a 4.155 bore min I think to make them work. And as far a loosing flow, man a 2.08 smokes if you have a engine that can take it. I just currious why you thought they were a blemish, I know you would run into big trouble when they hit the side of a cylinder if you were maybe running a small 350 or something like that. Im not trying to take up for the company because I dont know anything about them but I would love to have gotten a set of PROTOPLINES with 2.08s....LOL.

I was looking at a set of their 1200hp Billet rods a while back, but wasn't sure about the quality, they don't say who actually makes therir parts they sell.

- 2.08 vs 2.02 is not much flow difference, hell under cut stems can make that much difference. You can machine a 2.02 valve seat out to 2.08, you don't even have to install new seats.

I live five minutes from these guys. And to be honest I have never bought alot through them. Not because they don't stock decent parts but because they never have the particular brand I am looking for in stock. Though buddies of mine have used there stoker kits to much success.

A couple years ago I bought a 350 rebuild kit from them..price was great eventhough they gouged me on the shipping. It took almost 2 weeks to get from Ca to Oh and then they didn't include the pushrods I ordered. I called them and they said I would have to pay full price for shipping and it would take atleast a week to get them. I ended up getting them from Autozone.
