Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

I bought in on the SFC group purchase. I havent received them yet, but the follow thru has been nothing less than excellent. I have been email thoughout the process, explaining (in detail) everystep of the way.

Lon attention to detail is second to none. Its the way business should be.

My stuff was delivered yesterday & I put the steering brace on this afternoon.

Won't have any free time for at least a week & then I'll start looking for a muffler shop to weld in the SFCs.

Thanks Lon! :hail:

I bought a steering brace a few months ago.A very nice piece, The most impressive thing is his service. The big parts houses could learn alot from him.

Lon's business is top notch. I ordered some hatch pull down parts and I needed the ASAP and they came the day after I sent the money. Truely a great person to do business with and when it comes time for SFCs, I will be looking Lon's way again.

TDS did an awesome job for me. I ordered on Thursday, got immediate comfirmation and 2 status updates within 24 hours indicating it had shipped (I chose USPS). I received it earlier than I expected! It was waiting in my mailbox yesteday!

Thank you Lon!

*EDIT - I actually ordered on FRIDAY!*

The 86-87 and 88-91 (yours) are direcely interchangeable. The only wiring difference is the connector on the end of the blue wire that plugs into the red/white stripe wire. You could swap the connector or the entire striker-sensing switch (which includes ALL the wiring for the pull-down unit).

There are other differences in construction which is why I include two pages of instructions for each style.

You can't use the late 91-92 pull-down unit without major changes to your car.

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

What was the group purchase, I didn't see any thing about that. I bought a wonder bar from Lon earlier this summer, and agree about the great service he offers.

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

If you'll look at the date of the thread, the Alston SFC GP they were referring to was back in 2003. This very old thread has been brought back to life after 11 years.

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

I've bought a door hinge kit and steering brace from TDS in the past and was very, very happy with everything.

As soon as I'm reunited with my Camaro Lon will be receiving more of my $$$

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

Bought two headlight bushing kits from him, and the TDS steering brace, headlights now go up and down

Immediately shipped, the welds on the brace looked awesome, wish my welds looked that good, instructions were clear and concise, sometimes for kicks and grins i go out and just turn the headlights on to see them go up and down

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

I have to post my thanks to this group and to TDS. I, like many people on here, have had trouble with my rear hatch pull down. My motor was actually missing the reversing switch. Being that the part was discontinued in 2006, I was having a really difficult time finding one. TDS hooked me up. Two days after I ordered one from TDS, it showed up at my door step. I am definitely a TDS fan and will be doing business with them again.

Re: Thumbs Up for Lon @ TDS.

I just ordered and paid for a steering brace "wonder-bar" from Lon not realizing he was so close to where I live. Within minutes he had contacted me asking if I wanted to save the shipping costs and just pick it up from him. Most companies wouldn't care and just take your money. Lon is truly a great guy and cares about his customers. I will be buying more from him in the future.
