I have been ripped off by Jake Kolar (jjautorepair on e-bay - used to be camaro-parts on e-bay) for $125. This was an e-bay purchase and this guy is a crook. I suggest anyone who has been ripped off by Jake Kolar to call the Potsdam NY Police Department at (315) 265-2121. I spoke with Officer Kelley and he said he will arrest this crook. Please call Officer Kelley or Officer Tischler as they are the ones investigating this matter. Right now it is considered petty larceny, but if he has stolen enough money from people it may be a felony. Just so everyone knows, it is not about the money. He stole $125 from me. I am willing to spend much more than that to prosecute him, and Jake, if your lurking, I mean business!!!! I told you not to screw me over!!!! Oh yeah, and Jill M Hunter is in trouble too!!! hahaha

Have you contacted eBay? Did you use a credit card for your purchase? It's always buyer beware, but there are remedies you can seek. If you contact eBay's fraud division, they can offer assistance, and if you used a credit card or some online payment service, contact them for help also.

It would also help your side of the story if you provided details like "I bought item ##### from eBay and it was never shipped to me" instead of "so and so ripped me off."

I too have been taken by Jake. I won a bid on a set of door panels for my car. I sent him the money ($51) for the panels/shipping using Billpoint and he never shipped them.

I opened a Fraud Report with eBay and am in the process of opening an Insurance Claim. The bad part is if the insurance claim goes through I will only get my auction bid back ($26) and the $25 that he said was shipping is gone. So I will be calling the Potsdam Police as well.

This is not a whining "so and so stole from me post" This is serious stuff. I have filed charges with the police department and will not rest until this crook is in jail. All this is about is a bad "vendor" named Jake Kolar. If anyone has been scammed by him please call the police department. Even if it is only $25 it does not matter. Take five minutes and call the police. I have filed with e-bay and may or may not get all of my money back. Tha is secondary right now. If I can get a crook thrown in jail so he can't scam otrher people, that will be payment enough.

By the way, e-bay has $25 deductible for fraud, so it will be difficult to get your money back.

So far I have spoken to four people he has ripped off. I am keeping very good notes and track of this, so if anybody else has been cheated by this crook, please e-mail me and let me know. Also, call the police at the number above and report him. I believe it is over $500 now, which I think is a felony and JAIL TIME!!!!. I also think that Jill Hunter is going to get into some serious trouble also.

i got screwed out of $495 by some a$$ cliff townsend over the summer on ebay, for a set of iroc rims with tires in perfect condition. i filed the ebay fraud claim, and got the maximum $175 that their safe harbor insurance will cover. i also filed a complaint with the united states postal service, since my payment was sent through the mail. they sent him a letter saying that he should contact me and that if there is enough evidence, they will hand the case over to the appropriate attorney general.
