My 145 mph dash is crooked !!!!
Momar,:hail:
I guess I should thank you because you pointed it out in the picture about the dash being crooked over on the post 140mph speedo.
My dash is straight and last night when I saw your post I looked at that and I actually got up and took the trip to the garage and opened up the door on the Z 28 and set in it and saw that the dash was straight and then came back inside and looked at that picture again.
Momar, you have just caught one of the best optical allusions I have seen in a while. The dash is straight, its that the dash is curved down and even the instrument cluster itself has a tilt on both edges on the outside and even adding to the effect is the steering wheel is sloped the other way, so all this working together makes it seem that the instrument cluster is tilted down to the right.
When I took that picture I didn't realize it was going to turn out that good. Next time your in your friends car sit in it and you will see for yourself how the dash itself slopes to the drivers door.

Its not like that then?? How about taking another picture in the light for us or something??
As I replied in the other post, my cluster looks crooked in pictures also and I never noticed it until the other thread. Here's mine. By the way, it is as straight as can be!
scottmoyer,
Thanks for having another picture to prove the point.
It was hard to get this picture to look good but the bubble in the level there is a little to the left in its window, but I hope the point is made that you can see the curve in the dash and the instrument cluster is straight.

You know, the dash in my 89RS has a tilt like that. You can feel it when cleaning the dash. My fingers fit on the passenger side but won't as I slid over to the driver side door!
Yes, they are all like that. try cleaning the dust off the top of the instrument cluster of other cars and you'll find that the left side is too tight to get your finger into.
