Bought mine from goautocenter.com. Very satisfied with their service and the motor runs well. They sell all the gmpp motors and have a bunch of options for aluminum heads, aftermarket cams, etc.

I paid $1855 for the 300HP TPI motor from Autocenter. With freight it came to around $2200 to get it shipped to CA.
Got the TBI cam option, which is a Crane Compucam 2030.Motor has the PM Rods and stock pre-Vortec heads. With my ported throttle body, adjustable fuel pressure regulator and 1-5/8" SLP Headers,a single 3" Muffler, and a custom chip, it put out over 310 HP and over 400 Ft/Lbs.Everything's emissions legal, except the Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator and Open Element.Even passes at the tailpipe with the chip installed.

I question that you are getting 310 HP and
400 #/ft of TQ from that engine. That 300 HP
engine was tested on a engine Dyno with no accessories and open exhaust. So your numbers unless you have tested on chassis
Dyno for RWHP/RWTQ are way too high with your Mods. You have not taken into consideration any Drivetrain losses. My opinion.

i got my motor from them. it wa scheap, shipping was cheap, and i literally had it within a day and a half.
they have the full line of GM Perfprmance Parts engines and GM replacement engines too, so the selection is pretty good.
their service is awesome as well.

Ok your on the right track and you are aware that your numbers will be less on the chassis Dyno. No problem here and good luck.

That engine is a piece of crap for a performance car. Its got 76cc perimeter bolt smog heads, a small cam, and its not even roller. For around $1800 you can get an L05 350 TBI engine with better centerbolt heads, and a decent roller cam. I made 250 RWHP with those heads and an LT1 cam in my car.
Chevy High Performance used that engine in their Goodwrench Quest base and made good power with those heads and a few mods.
Buck268,
If you want me to get you the detail on the different mods they did to the Goodwrench and what power it made, just send me an email and I will get it typed up for you. I am going to be doing this engine to replace my 305.
