Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Hi, just wanted to let everyone know that Flatlander Racing (www.flatlanderracing.com) has the Professional Products Fuel Rail Kit #10608 for only $139. This is the kit that is supposed to work on the Holley StealthRam, and it comes with a billet adjustable FPR, fittings, bolts, rails, spacers, everything needed except a feed and return line. I will be posting a review in the Aftermarket Product Review section when I get it installed, but thought I should post this here for anyone looking to buy the fuel rails it is a very good price in comparison to Holley's kit or even this same kit at a different vendor. I think Summit carries this kit for $239, not often you beat Summit by $100.

I sell many parts including Professional Products. My pricing is very aggressive but cannot come close to the price that Flatlander is offering on this fuel rail kit.

d@mn i paid for the fuel rail kit and adjustable regulator just to get a billet kirban FPR! thats 350 total!!!
still tho i dont see anything about the AFPR etc.... and theres nto even a pic of how it looks.... wat kind of fittings does it use? like the aluminum AN fittings? bradied line? or hard line? the stock routing of the HSR fuel lines is very close in the front (dunno how they run it) not sure if id want to mess with that and get something that is designed for another manifold.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
I will let you all know about the AFPR when I receive the one I ordered. However, going by part numbers, #10608 is the whole kit from Professional Products including regulator: http://www.professional-products.com/fuelrails.php
The line routing is one of the neat things about this kit, the rails have fittings in the center so you can run a crossover line underneath the plenum on a HSR. AFAIK the rails are tapped for 3/8 NPT fittings and so is the regulator, and they include 3/8 to -6 AN fittings and 3/8 plugs.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Yes, I received the fuel rail kit Friday. It is the entire kit, fuel rails, billet AFPR, crossover line, and various fittings and plugs. It comes sealed in the box from Professional Products and it is marked #10608 on the side. I have a low quality pic on my phone but I will have to upload it. The rails are anodized medium/dark red. The regulator is polished aluminum. Total cost with shipping for me was under $160.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
It looks identical to the one my roommate is running on his 89 LX 5.0 with a Procharger and Megasquirt, except his is anodized blue. I must admit when he first got his kit I was skeptical since it was so cheap, and also his must have been a B-stock or something, one fuel rail was a slightly different color than the other. But it has been installed and running on his car for probably 6 months now with no problems. It is boost-referenced, too, 1:1 ratio. For every 1 psi of boost it increases fuel pressure 1 psi.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
I was just looking at these rail kits. Flatlander has got some amazing prices. Has anyone been able to find a price on the said manifold 52038 that is for the fuel rails? I did on the pro-products site but they don't list a price and it says its made for big inch small blocks, 400+ but still I am curious what the going rate for it is.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
thats not bad. looks good. esp the FPR. polished and nice. that FPR looks familiar tho... its a style of whos? aeromotive?holley?
i can say that the stock holley FPR for the HSR (i got the adjustable one) doesnt look good at all esp after all the horror stories i heard. so i got a billet Kirban one. that seems to be a good deal. i dnt like the anodized look tho. rather a natural/clear finish
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
oldred95,
I purchased a satin Hurrricane manifold 52039 with injector bosses from performanceparts.com. It was $195 - ($205 shipped) last year. This year it's $215 satin, $275 polished 52038.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
I mocked it up this weekend but haven't installed yet. The rails do fit the Holley Stealth Ram, injector spacing is the same and they bolt up fine. The crossover line that they include is too long, but it could be cut to fit, my roommate had one leftover from his 5.0 fuel rail kit and it fits perfectly. The kit comes with fittings to connect to a -6 or -8 AN feed line, the return is -6 only (with supplied fittings).
The only complaint I have about this kit is that the blue fittings they include are two different colors. I'm not sure why they are this way, but some are definitely more of a purple/blue color than the others which are more of a royal or pure blue. At least the fuel rails were both the same dark red color, whereas my roommates 5.0 fuel rail kit from Professional Products came with blue rails and they suffered from the same problem as my fittings, one was blue, one was purple/blue. He painted them both silver to fix this problem. I think with the fittings they are so small it's likely nobody will ever notice, but I may order some new ones just so they all match.
I will try to post some pics later of it all mocked up. With my 39 lb/hr Cobra injectors that are all blue, red fuel rails, blue fittings and silver Stealth Ram it looks very patriotic.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Just to let ya know. EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER in the yellow will strip the anodizing off.
Drano Crystals also works well.
Or 5% caustic (sodium hydroxide) and 95% H2O (water) in a bath heated no less than 140 degrees for 3 minutes. Cooler temps require longer time. You can buy this stuff at Lowes.
With any of them use !!!! CAUTION !!!! pull them out soon as all color is gone and rebuff them to a polished shine.

Patriotic of China, jk Im guessing you have used AN fittings before? If so, do the fittings and stuff in the kit feel "light" or cheap to you? That's one thing I noticed with the china kit stuff previously.... and that regulator looks like the aeromotive knock off on ebay for $30. feedback is appreciated!

Yes, some of the fittings seemed cheap. As I said the color was off on some of them, so I bought replacements for those pieces to get the colors to match. Comparing Summit brand -6 AN hose ends that I bought to the ones that came in the kit, like the ones on the fuel crossover hose, the Summit ones are higher quality no question.
I do think the included fittings would work just fine, but I thought for an extra $20-$30 I might as well buy some that would match.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
This is a Pro Products 52039 with Holly Fuel Rails. I already had the fuel rails so I reused them. The plenum is from intakeelbows.com. Aaron can weld!
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Did any of you have fuel leaks???? I had all sort of fuel leaks and I tried everything, Teflon tape, permatex thread sealant, ect and every time I drive the car I have a new leak. I am currently yanking off the fuel rails and putting the Stock HSR rails back on and going to use the professional products fuel pressure regulator. I don't see how the pipe threads could hold 40-50 psi of fuel pressure when the Holley system uses o-ring fittings.

PM replied finally!!
I tried a different type of thread sealant and so far it is holding up. All the other thread sealant I used was a smooth texture paste and the thread tape. We have this other stuff at work that has a gritty texture to it and alot thicker stuff and it seems to be holding up for now. I just wish it was drilled for the o-ring fittings instead of pipe fittings.

It is halfway there. The lower intake is installed and the fuel rails are bolted up. I am waiting on some more AN fittings to finish routing fuel lines and mounting the regulator. I really like the center crossover for the fuel rails, it keeps everything hidden and clean looking. I will take some pics when I get home.
Also, the Mr. Gasket water neck that www.stealthram.com recommends seems to point directly at my alternator. I think I'm going to get a 90* swivel water neck. I tried a 15* and it hits the throttle body. Just FYI for anyone else.
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Well, at first the kit worked great. I went to tune the car after getting it all buttoned back up and realized I was maxing out the VE tables in a few spots, so I wanted to turn up the fuel pressure. In the process of adjusting the regulator I noticed it didn't hold pressure without the pump running, it would drop to 0 pretty quickly after turning off the car. So I tore back into the fuel pump thinking I had a leak there, no leaks to be found. I e-mailed Professional Products about the problem and they said that was normal, and that I had a vented gas tank so it would bleed off pressure more quickly than others. Sounded like BS, but whatever. Then my starter died on me and I'm just getting around to replacing it.
If I replace the starter and the regulator will allow me to turn up the pressure to about 45 psi and hold it there while the engine is running, I'll be happy with the kit, even if it does leak down quickly. If it doesn't hold at 45 psi I'll know there is a problem with the regulator and I'll probably order a replacement regulator or take apart the one I have and replace the diaphram.
The FPR is vacuum referenced and fuel pressure does go up when you step on it and drop when you're at an idle. I sold my Procharger kit so I can't tell you about the boost part, but I believe it goes up 1:1 with boost, too.
The rails have no standoffs in the casting, they are straight on both sides. They come with spacers that are red anodized aluminum, but I found them to be too long for my HSR so I cut them down a little. Fits fine and nobody can tell you modified them.

You guys might be interested in reading this article...I was stumbling around on the internet reading "supercharged engine" threads and ran across this:
Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Interesting... Thanks for the update. A bad or non-existant fuel pump check valve can also cause these immediate pressure drop issues. I agree it isn't an issue as long as pressure holds and modulates appropriately while the car is running.

Thanks for the reply!
Yup...I just noticed that someone else was having issues with a P.P. FPR...and the fact that was mentioned how sometimes new stuff has problems even though it supposed to be brand new. Funny how sometimes we have to take new things apart and put them back together to get them to work...LOL..that NEVER happens! LOL

Re: Good Deal on Professional Products Fuel Rails #10608 for HSR
Could someone who has these rails help me out!?
I know that ProProducts list that:
"These rails can possibly be adapted to any manifold with a paired injector bore spacing of 37.5 mm (1.476") and a spacing of 184.5 mm (7.264") between the two pairs."
So I wanted to verify where those measurements were made and also get a number for the spacing between the mounting holes.
Specifically:
That the measurements are made center to center of the hole and the injector bore spacing refers to between a pair.
The spacing between pairs refers to the inner most hole's distance from each other.
And finally, what the spacing between the mounting holes are?
I've attached a picture to clarify.
If anyone can verify these measurements and can get me an idea on the mounting holes, based on their measurements I would geuss it is 222mm or 8 3/4" but I'm not sure.
