Burnout Videos?

I am trying to figure out how to use this gizmo I bought, to convert my VHS camcorder into digital video for the internet. Here are 2 attempts. The sound is not perfectly synchronized, that's one of the things I'm working on. The videos are 3MB and 5MB in size.

Nice burnouts!

You lit them up pretty good the 1st time without doing a brakestand!

Its easy if you have three legs :sillylol:

Boy I crack myself up. Anyway, that second one is a kick *** burnout. I wanna do one and tape it and somehow get it online, but I don't know how to get a vid online. And I don't wanna burn up my tires before they're even paid off

You guys are funny!

Believe it or not, that is the first brakestand I have ever done since I converted my car from an auto to a manual. I was going to be getting new tires, and decided to do a big burnout one last time before replacing tires. I didn't know if I would mess up or not, and didn't even practice it. All I did, was put my right heel on the brake, and my right toe on the gas. I revved, and let the clutch out. I kept holding the brake with my right heel, and then I shifted from 1st to second gear, that's why you can see the wheel stop, because I had my foot on the brake. So, I was just overpowering the rear brakes while the front brakes held the car in the same spot. I don't have a line lock installed.

The first video, is simply accelerating away from a stop without trying to eliminate wheelspin and as you can see, the wheels spin like crazy. That was about a 150' burnout in that acceleration.

The second burnout, since it was in 2nd gear when I started going, probably left marks for 400-500 feet. It was leaving black streaks for as long as you see it smoking. Also, if you watch closely, you can see the car fishtail just as the smoke stops. that was kinda scary since I was hauling *** at that point.

I've always wanted to try that with some old tires, but I'm just to afraid of totally wasting my rear brakes in the process.

You probably do more damage to your brakes going over the grapevine on I-5... loooong downhill sections, truck brakes like to catch on fire

That's exactly the reason why I had not yet done a brakestand since converting to a manual. I didn't want to screw up the Baer rotors I have in back. I don't really sweat the tires that much. But I figured one quick one, and never agian.
