Camaro or Firebird

OK, this is a fourth gen question, or opinion. I have the chance to but either a '94 Camaro Z28 or '94 Firebird Formula.
Both have LT1's, both have around 60kmiles, both are automatics, and both cost the same at $9500. But the Camaro is hunter green w/ black interior and t-tops, while the Firebird is black w/ gray leather interior but no t-tops.
I dont know which one i want???
What would be a better investment?
Any suggestions??
Thanks

Neither is a good investment! My choice would be the Camaro since that is where my passion lies. Which one would make you happier? Buying a car for investment is a bad choice, buy it to enjoy it.

Hmm. Leather firebird seats are FAR superior to cloth camaro. I also like the firebird dash much more.

But, no t-tops. I'd buy the camaro for the t-tops with the intent of upgrading the seats.

I agree with Jim, even though I like Firebird over Camaros, the t-tops are the only reason I still buy an F-Body. Go with the Camaro.

Sorry, i didn't mean an "investment", i meant what would be a better car for my money.
I agree w/ the t-top thing, but what about the color??? (hunter green Camaro vs. black Firebird)

well....pontiac is a division of GM...so is Chevrolet. so that means.....*gasp*...thier almost the same thing.....if u ask me..i like the camaro because the face of the car is evil...i dont like the firebird becuase it looks like an actual bird. i like camaros because of the IROC rims...i dont like firebirds checkerboards....its your desicion....but id go for the Chevrolet Camaro id rather have a car "Built like a rock" and not worry about "driving excitement" which both cars have qualities of....
im a fan of both cars and if i were u id flip a coin

Just a thought...I had a 1984 T/A w/ 5.0 HO, went to 1988 RS w/ 305, my insurance dropped $500 just because it wasn't a
T/A (or Z28) even though it was newer and worth more.
Monies saved on insurance can be put to better use i.e erformance or cosmetic upgrades.

So, my insurance will be cheaper because it will be a "Formula" and not a "Trans Am"??

Anyother suggestions on my "dilema"?

Hunter green is a very cool color, I personally think. I love black, but I would take the hunter green w/ t-tops in a second

Car: '88 GTA, 90 Formula
Engine: 5.7 TPI, fed growth hormones
Transmission: 700r4 4u2?
Axle/Gears: 9bolt
Just to clarify, other than styling and interior details, plus t-tops, these cars are identical. I have an 88 ta and a 97 Z, so I have no loyalties either way. Who cares what others think, which one do you like better? (I'm a sucker for t-tops myself)

Formula is lighter and will be a touch quicker, leather is overrated in my book (hot or clammy or cold as opposed to cloth) Pontiac seat design is superior. Pontiac interior is better.

I love t-tops. Don't really care for hunter green, which has less miles and better tires? And I think you will find that a 4th gen car of that age will hold it's value WAY better than most other cars, as long as it's clean and well maintained. Especially if they stop makin' em.

i actually wish i had a hardtop instead of t-tops but that doesnt matter. i would go with the camaro in that decision. as much as i love camaros i really like the looks of the t/a's over the camaros. however, the firebirds before 98 i dont like very much. i would go with the camaro.

it seems like one question goes with the other. as far as i can tell, the t/a has the same engine as the formula350. what would make the formula quicker, (barely) would be the absence of all the ground fx.

This is easy. The camaro. Think Z28. T-tops. Much better than a pointed nose, flip up light, bird. Only way I would get a one is if it was the Trans-am WS6. I would take that over any 4th gen camaro. Much nicer tons of power.

I'd say the camaro. for these reasons. 1)t-tops. 2) cloth seats (i prefer them) 3) i dont want to mess with fixing the popup headlights on the firebird when they break (which i assure you, given time they will)

The Formula. Camaro's are a dime a dozen on the roads today, espically the 4thgen styles. Go with the Formula, its nicer looking, rarely seen then the Camaro and nothing beats a Pontiac Dash or look.

So nobody thinks $9,500 is a wee bit steep for a 94?

Personally, the only things I have against Firebirds are the pop up headlights and the honeycomb taillights, but that's pretty much what sets them apart from Camaros, eh?
