Can't find Functional Ram Air 1 Hood
I'm trying to find a "functional" ram air 1 hood for a 92 firebird, I've tried searching the threads with no success. Yet I've noticed members with the hood so I know it exists. Also will the ram air 2 filter box work with a ram air 1 hood, if not I'll need to figure out where to get one of those also.

If you're talking about a functional RA1 hood like Redraif's
http://www.redraif.com
with an airbox, they used to be available from Suncoast Creations. Not sure if they still are though. No one else made a hood that would work with an airbox (the scoop is in the wrong place).

The Suncoast airbox looks identical to the airbox I have that came with my second RA2 hood, which is used in the two threads I linked above with the ASCD RA1 hood, like the one I got from you.
None of them are really Ram Air though, just a glorified Cold Air intake setup.

I tried contacting suncoast creations about there hood and I haven't had any responce yet (No surprise since I just did it today).
So the only way to get a true ram air is to get the RA2 hood. I like the RA2 hood, but I think it looks better on the 4th gen. I want something less noticable. The RA2 Hood is to bulky for my taste. But I also wanted the advantage of Ram Air. I guess I'll just have to wait for a response from suncoast for now.

Thanks for the info. I checked out the thread and learned a lot. It should be cleaned up and put into a sticky or faq (or maybe it is already and I just didn't see it). I'll probably get the hood anyways. I like the way it looks. Thanks for the Info everyone.
