Car looks very good from last time i saw it Nick. I thought your going to give it to your sister? I agree as much as i like the 91-92 wheels. You have to ditch them and put Iroc Z wheels on. It will fit the car much better.

your photographer needs to find spots without lines, like the parking spaces...they take away and distract from the car

thanks guys, and yes i know the Z28 wheels dont really do the car justice, but i'm saving for a paint job for my convertible and am limited in funding right now, but i assure you all these are only temporary fixes instead of running the stock 15" gold insert double line IROC wheels

and yea i know the hatch kinda needs to be aligned too

One question about the car >> The IROC-Z stickers on the rear of the doors. Are they smaller than stock? They just don't look as big as all the other IROC-Z door emblems that I've seen.

I guess I will jump on the band wagon...The car looks freakin' sweet but photography being my ohter hobby...the hatch should have been aligned in Photoshop...stains on the pavement..and I agree about the lines being distracting but, again...the car is great!

i didn't even realize the stripes were mix matched until after they were on the car...oh well it hardly cost me anything to have them done

BlueZee28...what i find best is to find a industrial area with blacktop...no lines..get that as a background and have the same person shoot the car....you wanna get all 4 tires in the picture also and the more agressive you can get the car to look from different angles the better....like these...these are not mine and were done in a hurry because this was actually a used road

lines are distracting and take away from the car...if you're good at photoshop you can use the clone tool and get rid of the lines...i like this shot but the lines **** me off and the clone tool is owning my ***

never take pics in direct sunlight, overcast is the way to go...especially for a dark colored car like mine...this is why



dont take what i am saying as an insult because mine are nothing near perfect but from what a few have said that are pros said i was onto something with the shots...just lighting and a few other things that i mentioned were off...but thats why you gotta love digital

thanks for the tip, and actually all of those were taken around sunset. we both knew direct sunlight was a no no...this picture he took of my convertible is excellent minus the black railings you see behind the car. i have photoshop i just haven't had time to fix any of the things wrong with the pictures yet

another great thing to have is a circular polarizer...that will take the glare off the windshield and add coloring to the sky and other things...great tool for a camera especially with cars

It's funny what some consider appealing and not appealing with art. Black84z28-4spd ... your first two pictures are quite boring to me, bar having a very nice Camaro. Your car is centered with almost no background. Useful for showing the car, but not for a piece of art. Just my opinion. It's a generally accepted "rule" in art that your subject matter should not be centered.

Lines can be in the picture and not detract from the photo, it just depends on placement and angles. BlueZee28's picture with the pinkish building is definitely my favorite, though it needs to be color corrected pretty bad and probably crop to just over the stain in the asphalt. The composition in that one is just more appealing. Again, to me. My opinion.

when it comes to lines there is a reason why pro car photographers clone out the lines or just find an area with fresh blacktop that has none at all....car mags will look past those images if you send them in...two local guys just got their cars in super chevy(purple chevelle with a huge blown 5722 that turned out a blusish color) and camaro performers (black 84 z28 with a 434sm blk) and notice none of the pictures have any type of line in the picture...my other hobby IS photography and iout of the couple i posted 64 others were taken and did not cut it too my standards...

Maybe you're just talking about stripes in the asphalt. I'm talking lines in general. Either way I'm not arguing anything. I'm just saying that for a picture to be a piece of art, not just a "hey my car is shines and is pretty", lines aren't a bad thing... especially with a car like a thirdgen.. having hard lines itself. It all depends on how they are used. *shrug*

1989 IROC-Z coupe 92,xxx original and stock miles. 305TPI/700R4
has an aftermarket catback system, not sure of the brand
Sony head unit
stock speakers

both front fenders are brand new, headliner is new, driver seat covering is new, various mechanical parts are new including the alternator, starter, and a rebuilt distributor. i have new plugs and wires for it i just haven't had the time to put them on yet.


there are a few very minute details that could be fixed on the car including:

the engine temp and oil pressure gauges dont work
has a crack in the dash
rear seats have faded slightly, they are not BLACK BLACK like they should be and could use some dye
the car could, believe it or not, use some more wet sanding. there are still a few spots where there is a little bit of orange peal that we didn't get all the way out.

the factory IROC wheels with gold insert would be on the car at the time of sale, and i am keeping my stock '91 wheels.

Personally (note, personally, not flaming) - i think with the milage and work it's too much for the car. Now, the rest of the people - who knows ..... i paid what you're asking for that car for mine - with 46k, brand new paint w/ghost stripes, and new tires. Depending on the specs of the car, i wouldnt mind paying that. Mine is rs with a 305- yes, not quite as desirable, but personally (note personally again), i think mine was in a bit better shape. Good luck on your sale , it sounds like a solid car, i hope it finds a good home.

i am not taking any of that in any offensive way, but i dont know how you can say your RS was in better shape than my IROC when both have brand new paint, and my IROC is dang near flawless and also you've never seen it in person, oh well. matter of opinion i suppose. and as far as the price, again yours is an RS and IROCs pull quite a bit more price wise

I wont argue irocs pull a bit more - just sayin milage seems a bit high . With the right patience i bet seh'll find a nice home - or suck more out of your wallet when you decide nawwww- i dont wanna part w/it (i wish i would have before i sold my z)
