I just got curious, since its shipping freight.. how much is the freight company going to charge me for shipping? I gotta know this. Lol.

Does anybody know? My zip code is 95988, if that helps.

well i had to bore out the wholes where the tabs go through just so it would sit correctly, the screws on the orginal VS the repo where pretty off. It still doesnt sit right but theres nothing I can do. Maybe I just got a bad one. Other options...I dont know. I dont want to put down hawks if I just got a bad one

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

Well I desperately need a new spoiler, mine is cracked all to hell, its rusting on the underside, in general it looks bad. I need something new, my cars going to be getting painted soon. I have been told that the spoiler is HARD to get on, but if its done right it can look good. :/ Idk

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

I got my Aerowing from Hawks. Took a while to get here but I had no problems fitting it. It came ready in primer and with all the fixings and instructions. Maybe I just got a lucky fit with mine but I'm pleased with the way it came out.

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

Maybe because it's not black but every time I see the repo one I think the arms are just a hair too short by about 2"

Still, it's better than having an old cracked rubber

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

I swapped out my 'glass repro for an OEM 4th gen wing.

I like the bigger styling, but it does require extending the center 2 posts, new holes to be drilled & the old ones filed. But the 93-97 wings are a MUCH better fi than the 98-02 wings.

And can easily be found for under $75. Find one with the right color & you don't even hafta paint it, saving you even more money!

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

This is the best I could get mine to fit from Hawks.

You can see that the right side does not sit flush to the car, that is the closest I could get it. I am going to take it off and try some things to get it to fit, but I am not happy with the way it is now. I may even end up taking it and putting more fiberglass on the bottom of that side so its flush. The holes for the third brake lamp didn't line up either so I had to use double sided tape.

Alrighty then, well I guess I'm willing to take the chance on the Reproduction spoiler, but back to my main question, how much did the freight company charge for shipping once it got here?

Re: So I'm about to buy Hawks' Repoduction Spoiler?

they charge me $90 to go from south carolina to virginia.

Yesterday I got my first look at my spoiler mocked up on my car at the body shop.

My body guy said that it doesnt sit flat on both sides. He'll know more on how to fix it later, but its looking like he'll need to do some additional fiberglassing to make it right.

Keep in mind people...this is an aftermarket fiberglass piece. Its not going to be perfect every time, and may need additional work to make it right. This goes with pretty much every aftermarket fiberglass piece...there is always a chance it will need more work
