Anyone replace Outer Door Window Felt Strips on these 3rd gens? mines got a few cracks, I'd like to replace em' but thought i'd see if anyone has done them and what they went through before i attempted. Thanks

Yes, it is a common repair. 1A Auto has them and I have done them on 2 or my 3 birds. You have to take the door panels off and loosen the window guides. I guess some people would remove the window glass altogether, but I managed to do mine with the glass still in the door.

Try a search on 1aauto or 1aTony. Tony has posted a video on it. He also sells them at a great price.

Original GM ones are still available for about $60 each IIRC, which is fairly cheap IMO for what you get.

There is a good write up a member did about using the fourth gen window sweeps. Get them in good condition from a wrecking yard for $5-10.
