Hello my thirdgen friends! I need some help from someone. I'm getting ready to paint my car. I need something to go by. Ok, so, if any of you are great in Paint Shop Pro, I need your help! I want about an 87 Z-28 painted lime green and and a blue decal like the one on the green eclipse on the movie. I don't know how to use PSP and have the car look actually real and shiney. On the blue decal, try to outline it with white. Then, on the hood, have it painted a darker blue. I need some ides of how a lime green Camaro will look before I paint it. I wan't it to look like the Ecilpse. So then when I get it painted, I'm gonna put a neon green under body light kit under it, like on the movie. Please help me if you can. I'm hoping to getting it painted soon! Thanks! And try your best to make it look as much like that car as possible, thanks!

There is a lime green 3rd gen camaro in my area, that has an 8-71 blown small block, the car is an eye catcher, without the blower, the car would look downright sick.

I love the movie, but for christ sakes, the cars look like **** with all the stickers on them. I mean, I'll respect the car if its fast, unlike MOST of them around, but ***, WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT TO A CAMARO??? Just buy an eclipse and go to the dark side.

well I cant do a photoshop for you but ... I think the most important part will be finding the correct colors ... I dont know offhand but I know the company that made the paint used on that esclipse was House of Kolor. you should find a local decal shop / sign shop and price a custom decal before you get started with the paint. also since u want it to look like that esclipse ... you will have to do rims and a wing to complete the image ... just my .02

Not too many good looking lime green cars out there. But hey if you do it, I would like to see it, if you can ignore all the other stuff. My rule is "If it looks good, or is fast, it's cool with me."

The unforunate thing about the imort ricers is tha they aren't fast and dont look good. Look at the rule. This also applies to the Truck'n croud too, (just look at the rule) but the are exemt because there are the usual exceptions that are killer.

What I am getting too, is that you can be one or the other to be cool. If he wants to be the fast part, paint you car to hell, but if it isnt, screw off kid! Sorry to be blunt. I would respect totally it if you were doing it to kick your buddy's ***** butts. Put the money in some more speed parts, then kick their butts.

Rice- A car that's appearancial image presents as if it is faster than it is in reality.

BTW- Low riders are in complete contridiction to the rule!

I was kind of hoping this whole thread was a joke also. The Fast and the Furious did not have 1 F-body in it, so wrong website to begin with. The only car that is worthy of my praise is the Dodge, and this isn't a Mopar site either.

that spoiler on the eclipse makes it look like a giant shopping cart and being all low with the body kit makes it resemble a dust buster or vaccuum cleaner. its probably a fast little shopping cart though. (with nos that is)

eclips can look good...I like the high spolier that can stopck on the upper modles and a nose kit that a saw....it is very mild but adds a little spunk.....if i did not own a camaro i would own one of these......

So, I guess I see how you guys feel about the idea. If I really thought everyone was gonna respond to it like that, I wouldn't have even waisted my time. So you guys don't like the idea, so what, I didn't ask you if you liked the idea, I said could you help me out with it. I don't even know why ya'll buggin off that eclipse, you know if it was yours you'de never get out of it, so why even bother. I'de also apreciate the comments made by the understanding and mature thirdgen owners, you know who you are, thanks. Guys, thats why I wanted your help, I don't wanna go and get my car painted and then regret I ever did it with out having something to go by or to see how it would look. You didn't have to come down on me that hard. Sure, it might not look good, but hell, I'm usually pretty damn good at making something look very, very awesome. If you can't help me out with photo shop, then thanks anyway. Except one day, It may just prove you wrong if I get my Camaro to turn out to be a bad *** machine, then what are you gonna have to say? So I would apreciate if you have something bad to say, don't say it at all. Yet, if you like the idea and would like to help me out in anyway, please post. Thanks again for the ones who tried to help me and all and told me where to find some of the stuff!

While I do agree with the people who say "Do whatever you want, its your car". I must say, if you want a car like that, just buy one. I do think *some* of those cars look good, but not when they have all that crap on them. I have nothing against stickers, but ****, at least have all that stuff, and put them in a place where it actually looks good, like in your engine compartment, or on the air dam under the front of the car. Then again, thats my opinion, which shouldnt matter to you. I mean, it is your car, and make it the way you like it, but if you really like that stuff, just save the cash from the paint job and sell your car and get an eclipse of your own. Honestly, I laugh at ANYONE who drives a car like that, unless it can actually run in the 10's, cause we all know that 99.99% of them are bone stock, except for an exhaust. But again, that's only my opinion.
