'91 Camaro RS v6 3.1 auto 700r4
roughly 150k miles
rebuilt motor, new crank and bearings
on average i'd get about 18mpg
new pads up front, new cylinders in the back
seats are in great condition...driver seat has normal wear and tear and one small tear at the very top...I really miss those seats.
i bought the tires new and they have at least 85% tread left...since I bought the car, I've probably only put 12k miles on it...they're studless snows and they got me through the worst of last winter without any problems...was actually a lot of fun.
I also have a matching spare rim which has an all-weather tire on it which has about 55% tread left on it.

I've got a new fuel pump for it which cost around a $100...and i've also got the tank dropped...the bitter cold during the winter has prevented me from working on it, however.

So, a little history, I bought this car nearly four years ago, I've put a lot of work and money into this, but I only drove it for about 15 months. Really fun car and was reliable up until the fuel pump went...which is why it's currently sitting on jack stands.

The car has been hit twice and as you can see in the pictures, the body is bleh though the color is quite nice. When I bought the car, I only knew about it being hit once in the front-right and seemingly, all the repairs were already done for it; however, the steering - despite messing with it a LOT - still isn't quite centered, but the tires are all aligned and they're wearing even.

The second hit which I did not know about until after I got it home is in the back - right....it got rear-ended and is slightly tweaked...enough to cause the interior panels to not line up right. Really annoying.

When I bought the car, it was in pieces...literally. Got it all put together and running only to find out that it had a really bad rod knock....blocked the motor, dropped the pan, and checked the rod bearings...completely destroyed...even ate up the crank. My guess is someone stripped out the oil drain plug and it was driven with no oil for a bit....so, I pulled the motor out and rebuilt the entire lower end...new crank, all new rod and main bearings, etc etc...cleaned it up, painted, and put it back...that's what the last picture is of...it's the motor before I dropped it back in.

The car hasn't ran since last August...that's when the fuel pump went...it got me home and wouldn't start again after that. Took off the fuel line and turned on the ignition....next to no fuel pressure...checked for clogs, replaced fuel filter -- no change. Before that, the motor would turn right over and start as easy as a warm diesel and would shut off just as easy and the transmission shifted smooth.

You really should come see the car before purchasing. I really don't expect to get much for this car and I probably will finish replacing the fuel pump so you can appreciate just how well the motor runs, but either way, it'll need to be trailered.

At any rate, it has a lot of good parts on it, at least....and I'd like to ask $975obo and that's VERY negotiable. Only thing I might consider trading it for is a motorcycle of some sort...otherwise, please, no trades.

Any questions etc please ask here or PM me....I'll get an email which goes straight to my phone and I'll reply as soon as I can. Thanks.

I would consider selling parts....but only if you want specific parts and it's worthwhile enough for me to just junk the shell afterwards I really just want this out of my driveway.

edit: and I was very picky about getting all the little things to work...all the gauges work, delay wipers, etc etc....and it really wouldn't take much to get it road legal again.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS

I'm very interested in the car. I'd be willing to offer you 500 cash in hand as long as it runs as nice as it sounds.

Re: 1991 Camaro RS

Thought I had a buyer for this but he backed out due to real life reasons. Putting it back up for sale at $700.

Update on this, replaced the fuel pump and still no luck with getting it to run. Definitely getting the proper fuel pressure now, but the only thing left to replace now is the fuel pressure regulator.

Can't see them unless we're friends. Either change it so everyone can see the pictures, or upload them to a site like www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com and then post the links. Thanks.
