I have an 84 hardtop that is fairly rust free but REALLY needs a paint job in northeast Ohio if you are interested. Motor and trans are still good though. Sorry I cant figure out how to PM.

I have a pic of probably the worst of it. We have to thank the shops that don't know how to rack these cars for this one... Its where the front fender bolts to the body. I can get you pics of the rear and other requested areas tomorrow if your still interested. I just installed some BMR stuff back there.

Asking price is 6k. Has a small block 350 (383 maybe... I could not verify stroke when the heads were done) with vortec heads that were looked over by the guy that tests race motors for Cometic, Edelbrock rpm air gap intake, tuned 650 AVS carb, Comp 270H cam, long tube headers/dual exhaust, TH350 trans with shift kit, Adjustable trans crossmember, B&M 2000ish stall converter, Stock posi z28 rear with Richmond 3.73 gears, Summit adjustable shocks on the rear, BMR LCAs and relocation brackets, Dorman stock replacement rear sway bar. 145mph speedo that is a bit off because of the gearing and the tach is calibrated for a v8 and does not tick or jump at all. Front chassis components and brakes were done about 2 years ago.
Car does not rattle on the road at all. If it werent for the aggressive gearing in back and the loud exhaust this would be a good cruiser project. I still have most of the stock parts if you want to go that way but I viewed this as more of a street/strip project that runs high 12s - low 13s currently.
The parts that make things negotiable are parts of the fenders where shops like to lift the car from... The drivers door got hit by something and those scrapes/slight dent are starting to show problems now... Motor is NOT leaking BUT when you change the oil you will probably have some seepage at the timing cover where it meets the oil pan... The only reason its not leaking now is because of Lucas oil stop leak. Motor was regasketed about 2 years ago but I think I needed a different pan gasket which I have but have not done cuz the Lucas stuff did its thing.

Thanks for getting back to me and sorry to offer a running car when ya wanted a roller. When I was looking a hardtop was pretty hard to find. I also remember when a good condition IROC was about $4k-5k. The market has definitely gone up.
