1-18" Pump'n the shiznit

Sorry for the lame *** Subject but I wanted to get some hate attention. Any way. I was wondering if 1-18 would fit in a box that fits in the well. I know 2 15'a can be done but is it possible for 1-18. That would be sweet.
Thankyou
Jason
ps. I love the low end that you can only get from an 18. Wussy 12's and 10's can't even come close. I know some of you guys are going to give the the spl crap story's but I don't care.

I heard of a guy that had a custom built box but it wasn't in the well.
It had (as the best i can recall)
1 - 18"
4 - 10"
(heres the part i am not sure about)
with horns in between the tens

that was what was in the back
I heard he broke the glass 3 times.

My 12" Oz subs have a 20hz resonant frequency and have a flat frequency response down to 18hz. 18's have the acoustical precision of a strung out guitarist trying to play stairway to heaven with his feet without taking his boots off.

I really doubt that I'll ever go with more than 2 - 12's myself. For one, teh amount of airspace that an 18 needs is ridiculous, on top of the price premium that you pay for an 18. On top of that, an 18 requires so much power to move it (although, so does my solo-baric 12!)

In all seriousness, I love my 12's, but I would really love to see, or hear a single 18 setup. I think it can be done, but the
box would be very complex.

---BTW...My solo-baric 12 hits 20 Hz pretty well!

Starting to look like the Kicker poster child!

i don't see a box being a problem with it at all. i had 2 twelves with the standard well box that everyone has, but it all was stolen out of my car. i now how 2 15's and like them alot more, and the box isn't even that bad, hitting at an angle right at the glass. it would be neat to see and hear an 18 though, but wouldn't want it

This doesn't really apply to car audio but...
I have and 18" driver in one of my bass guitar cabinets and it sounds awesome. It is accurate, I can play normal music through it and it sounds tight, but with TONS of bass too. It is an EV speaker, maybe you could find something like that. Just a thought.
