Lame holley 670 and cruise control Question

Alright, I know that cruise control is quite lame but damn I am driving from CT to OH next month and would love it!

I don't even know if my module werks but hey its worth a shot. I was thinkin about connecting it to the same place the throttle cable is connected to but was afraid that it might tangle somehow. Are there any brackets for the street avenger series or what? thanks!

The cruise cable connects to its own stud, one that sticks out about an inch from the throttle arm.

It needs to be mounted on the throttle arm the proper distance from the pivot to give properly leverage and response.

I know this post is like ages old, but did you ever figure out how to do it? I too have a 670. I know all my cruise stuff works but I have not found a bracket that will hold the Cruise Cable, TV Cable, and the ACC cable, like the factory bracket, which we all know will not work with the 670 or any avenger series carbs.

I got my factory bracket to work. I cut about 1/2" out of the main body of the bracket and welded it back together. Then I removed the small mounting arm from the bracket. Kept the lower portion that bolts to the coil bracket mount and made a piece to fit in between the two parts and welded them together. Not a whole lot of work and it still looks like it's a factory piece.

Wow thanks. Now to just find a factory bracket. Any idea? I guess I could call Bruce down at Hawks.

I know what you mean about trying to find one. Most 3rd gens that are in the bone yards around here are either 2.8L, TPI or TBI cars. I haven't seen many factory carb'd cars here.
