Another November 1st
When ever November 1st rolls around it is time to pull out the blue cover ...pull out the blue tarp...pull out the battery ...add some air to the tires and say.
" See you in April" To my favorite car. Yes real car guys do talk to their cars. And ya know they never disagree or talk back.

Re: Another November 1st
I don't have a set date for when mine goes into storage. The weather controls the date. I keep it out until they salt the roads the first time. Last year was a record. Kept it out until the 2nd week of December. I've had the car since it was new and I keep a record of the dates it gets parked and when it's pulled out again in the spring. I'd say on average it gets parked around Thanksgiving and comes out mid-late March.

Last year I also waited until Nov 1st and the weather turned crappy before then. I was caught kind'a off guard and had to rush to put her away.
This year I put her away Oct 1st, and it's still decent out!!!!
Yeah, I miss her and talk to her too once in a while throughout winter.

Re: Another November 1st
Just got mine back up and running today. Gonna have to drive it for a few weeks, then try to find the funds to replace a fender over the winter.
Of course, here it doesnt get below freezing for too long.

Looking for a beater car so right now she is still my daily driver.
Just to make all of you cringe, I drove her last winter in record snow storms in Colorado.

Likin' it!
Here's where you have to give me the stink eye in California. I can drive 365 days a year with the top down. Unless of course, it rains which happens about 20 days a year or something lame like that.

Re: Another November 1st
As soon as I figure out which car I'm trading my truck in for at the dealership I bought it from, I'll be putting my Z away for the winter. My truck has a bad trans in it and a leaking intake manifold gasket so they're letting me trade it even for another car on the lot. Most likely gonna get an '04 Grand Am GT. So hopefully later this week or early next week I'll put away my Z in my grandma's basement garage.

Man I would fix the truck and keep it. Intake gaskets are easy in those. That is a nice little truck.

Re: Another November 1st
The trans has to be replaced and is going to cost over $2,000, plus another $500-600 for the gasket. I don't have that kind of money to spare on a truck I've had for a little over a month. So I'm getting a Grand Am GT with half the miles on it that my truck has, for around the same price. They're giving me 100% of the money I bought it for.

I get to keep my baby out 365 days a year in Dallas. It only snows once or twice if that and they never salt the roads.
