So, you were right about the tonneau switch, I tested the black wire and got 12 volts out of it. Next just to be sure I bridged the two wires together and voila! The solenoids released the tonneau. Now I have to bend the deck lid back from where the previous owner didn't replace the trunk pull down which caused it to be uneven with the tonneau. I guess they didn't care lol and forced the tonneau open 🤦🏻♂️.
Finally those two wires seem like they are hooked up right since everything is working fine so I'm going to snip them and solder a better connection on them. Thanks!

Ok so my tonneau cover is actually bent not my deck lid, it also has a rust hole in it. If anyone has a tonneau cover for a 1989 Camaro for sale lmk.
