Re: ALDL Dataloging
The 1227165 is the only one that "requires" the 10K resistor to start data flowing. Other ECMs can make use of the 10K resistor for other pre-programmed settings, more to verify connection, such as "ALDL idle RPM" that will usually raise the idle when there is a 10K ohm resistor present.

OUCH !
I think he is refering to set timing for optimal perf. Unfortunately that will be neded to be done on a dyno for all rpm/vac cells. If you are looking for max WOT perf for a 1/4 mile that is doable. Dataloging is helpfull to skow KC's. MPH at end of 1/4 will tell the tale.

Re: ALDL Dataloging
How did you got the software to work??
I just got a cable the other day, and I cant get the software to stream the data.
The laptop recognized the cable and it set it to COM3 so I changed it in the software but I'm not getting anything.....Can someone tell me if I'm missing something..?
Thanks

Re: ALDL Dataloging
Thanks, I actually figured it out. There is a jumper on top of the usb outlet of the cable, and I had to set it correctly in order to get true data to flow.
By the way, do you know how do I read the data. I can understand some of it, but the values of the airflow I don't know how to read it, and the EGR cycle values as well.
Thanks
