Rt Tuner & Romulator?
Has any one tried the rt tuner with the romulator? I just got my romulator yesterday, I have been burning proms from my desktop and installing one after another. I hope the real time tuning works easier to get the set-up right. So if any has been doing this, any tips or cautions would be appreciated.

(TunerCat's) RT Tuner works great with the Romulator! There's nothing like only having to burn *one* chip per tuning session. =)

The RT Tuner and Romulator are awesome. I love it. The Romulator is basically plug 'n play when you have the RT Tuner installed. What's cool is the auto update feature. You make a change and RT Tuner automatically updates the Romulator with the new values.

In that the Romulator and AutoProm (Serial version) don't need drivers (they make use of the basic serial port protocol), yes, you might consider them plug and play.
The USB version of the AutoProm does require some drivers to be installed, but its simple. If you can modify your bin and tune your car, you can set the hardware up.
The term "Plug and Play" has no real meaning with this hardware, though. The operating system will not autodetect these devices.

By plug and play, I simply meant that the RT tuner "autodetects" the Romulator upon starting up the program. But you're right, to the extent that the PC will not autodetect the Romulator.

I am having a slight connectivity problem with romulator. My laptop will auto detect romulator while using tunercat, but will not work when running the pocket romulator software unless the laptop is docked. Does this even matter? Does anyone use the romulator software on a laptop platform? I'm not sure if I would ever run the romulator software, but I am a detail driven person & if something doesn't work with my pc I can't stop until I fix it. I hope someone understands & possibly has some suggestions.
