Pulling BIN out of a chip

I had some one do so tuning on my car and I would like to compare the changes they made with what my last tune was. I am trying to use a PP2 to do it, but the files I get are "unrecognized" by Tunercat. I think its a problem with the "start of device" and "end of device" settings. Or am I completely off base here?

I need to pull the data off an AT29C256 and a 27SF512.

I looked around and found start settings for programming (8000 and C000).

Thanks!

Using PP2 program with the correct chip selected and you download the info from the chip try to view the info using PP2, like the edit mode and see where the programming is on the chip using a starting point of 0000. Page through the info making note of locations. If you show lines full of 'F' that would be blank.
If the 512k chip had 256k info., only the last half of the chip is used. So the first half is either blank (F) or a duplicate of the last half.
When you download info to tuner cat to view and you are using a def file for 256k you need to use the last half only from the 512k chip.
