NEWB reading chip & getting it into tunerpro

ok, I have read flash & burn pdf, got the adapter for my factory memcal, hooked it up, read the chip, saved it to file, and I can look at it in the editor of flash and burn, but after loading the proper xdf into tunerpro ($32b), when I open the bin from the file I just saved and open any values or look at tables, they all show 0 (zero) --- what am I doing wrong?

sounds like a bad read you can see it in the buffer before you save it. I assume this is a 87-88 Tpi maf car, if thats the case do the read as a 27c128 if that doesnt work check the address you are reading.

yep, set it as a 27c128 -- it shows the chip address as 000000 to 003FFF, is this correct? the flash n burn pdf doesn't show a 27c128 -- it only shows AT29C256 and the 27SF512 and their addresses

I just tried it with my '89 tpi chip ($6E) too, same thing

that was it !!! got it figured out, it doesn't set the buffer addressing fields like it does for the chip addressing fields when you select from the list of supported chips.

THANKS !!!
