How to wire these Autometer gauges

I know very little when it comes to wiring up things in my car so here is my question. I bought an Autometer trans. temp and air/fuel ratio gauge. On both of them it says to wire it to ignition switch. Im assuming this would be the wires on my ignition cylinder. If so which one?? Also for the trans. temp gauge I have to wire the light to come on when I turn my headlights on, so would I connect it to the wire on the back of my headlight switch, and again which one?? Thanks for any help.

I actually wired mine to the switched wire on my radio.

It is a snap to hook up autometer guages to thirdgens (at least it was in mine). The fuse box under the steering wheel has power outlets labeled ignition and guages, battery, and maybe a few others. Just buy an electrical connector that is flat and attatch it to one end of the wire and plug it into the corresponding slot. Since you don't want your guages on until you turn your ignition to on, then tap into the slot labeled ignition. All you need after that is a ground and the wire from your sender (or in mechanical guages tubing from source). The lights on the guages even dim with your stock dimmer when you hook the bulb 12 volts to the guages terminal.

Thanks for the help. Wish I knew that before I did it my way. I hooked it up through the radio like the previous guy suggested. It works so I guess I did it right. Thanks again.
