horn problems

okay so for some odd reason my car likes to act up in the rain. The alarm goes off like hell . You can bash the car and it wont sound but if its raining it'll go off no problems. So today in school i heard my alarm sound on and off for 3,4 hours. When i finally got to my car i clicked the alarm and my horn sounded like that of a *****. beeeeeep no HOOOOONK. Did my horn burn out or something?. I dont think any fuses blew since the horn fuse is attatched to many other accesories .. any ideas?

If the horn is making noise than everything else is fine. All that controls the horn is straight 12 volts, you either have it or you don't. The horn is not designed to run for 3-4 hours consecutively. So it might have wore out. Just like when you burn up some speakers on a stereo. They still work, but sound like crap. Easiest way to tell is just swap it.

lol, the horn is the easy part. What's with the alarm system I couldn't say, I've never had the pleasure of having one. I need to get one though, I caught someone breaking into my car a couple nights ago. Instead of calling the cops (takes to long) I chased after him with a mag-light. Luckily I caught him before anything got stolen.

you my friend are a very brave man. Most people who break into cars out here are bums, crackheads, they dont think twice about stabbing you with there needle for a radio . So i guess i should just get a new horn . Will any Gm horn work?

Any 12V Horn will work, and to the best of my knowledge there isn't any other kind.
