Instrument panel wiring woes.

Ok, so the engine swap is complete, and now its just wrapping up the odds and ends...things like....brake lights, the wiring for the gauges, etc...

The first issue is that the tach stays pegged, and when I say pegged, I mean pegged, beyond the range of the gauge itself, pegged against the bottom edge of the dash (or the pin, but I cant see one). It will move BACKWARDS when I start the car though? But wont move at all after starting. (I was able to locate the stuff about the capacitor on the rear of the tach, and printed it all off)

Secondly, none of the idiot lights seem to work...when you first turn the key on, all the lights should light up, and a buzzer or something should sound, yes? Well, none do, except the brake light when you start the car...and no buzzer goes off.

The speedometer doesnt budge at all.

The brake lights dont work.

Headlight switch needs to be replaced. (already bought it)

Etc etc etc...

Anyway, Ive searched and searched and havent been able to find a wiring diagram specifically for the instrument cluster, gauges, idiot lights, etc etc...

If anyone could point me in the right direction, Id be much appreciative...its the only thing keeping the car in the garage now!

PS. All fuses have been replaced to factory specs. But I havent checked to see if any have blown since the car was started the first time.

Engine swap

You might look into your ECM and determine if you need a new PROM to match the swapped engine.
