lost vats key
i have a 91' camaro with a carbuerated 350 so the only thing the vats controls is the starter. my question is how can i bypass the vats, or wire the ignition switch to just start and turn off the car. i got a new lock cylinder without the vats wires. any help would be appreciated.

go give the vin to a local gm dealership and get a new key cut. it will be cheaper in the long run. btw you better get two keys cut with the luck youre having!

Re: lost vats key
hey, pop off your drivers side kick panel, you will find a relay under some black sticky crap, there will be two really thick wires....cut them and splice the two together, dont worry about the relay side, just pit the two long parts together...those will bypass the the vats part of the starter relay...trust me, it really works, I actually JUST did this like half an hour ago.
