key wont start my car
I installed a new colum in my car and put a older gm key cylinder in it and got the chip to delete the vats system. the car was a stolen recovery so the wires under the dash got hacked some i tried to straighten them out the best I could. the key wont start the car only when I jump the starter with a jump wire I dont know if there is some wire cut or what I dont know where to begin with trouble shooting it

There's a starter enable relay, usually under the driver kick panel, under the black goo where the hood release is. You can straight wire it, or simply give it a ground.
It will have a large red wire, small yellow wire, large yellow wire, and a black wire. Can jump large red with large yellow, or else provide a ground on the black.

Re: key wont start my car
Here's where the starter enable relay is. Mine has already been bypassed. If it has not been bypassed, it should have the relay where you can ground it. The ground on mine kept coming off so I just cut the wires ( big yellow & big green one) and spliced them together. The car runs, so I think i did it right

Re: key wont start my car
I tried the jump wire and it didnt work also once i started to dig into it I realized that the fuel pump is hot wired so Im wondering if the vats delete chip isnt working or if its with the key harness. Im unsure if this has anything to do with the same problem but I hooked up the code reader and it kept telling me it lost comunication with the computer making me think this has to be something with the key switch wiring tomorrow Im going to call the guy who made me the chip and see if he has any info
