Do i have a Mass Airflow Sensor?

I have an 87 LT with the 5.0L 4 Barrel LG4 option.
RPM has been fluctuating in fourth and third gears, mostly around 1500-2500 RPMS by about 200-500 RPMS every 30 seconds or so. A mechanic told me its most likely a bad MAF but i cant seem to locate it. Can anyone guide me in the right direction?

No MAF on an LG4. You have a MAP sensor instead.

Oh yeah, find another mechanic.

Your idling sounds like a vac. leak. Spray some starter fluid on your lines.and if the idle increases, that's where the leak is.

Hahaha i figured so. I looked for a good 15 minutes and didnt find anything resembling the MAF sensor. Where would i be able to find the MAP sensor? Is there a vacuum line going to the sensor?

My idle at park or at a stop in drive is not bad actually. Pretty steady at about 750 rpms. What DOES happen sometimes though, is that the rpms will be high in park or at a stop in drive and they dont go down unless i hit the throttle a few times or sometimes ill come to a stop after a few minutes of driving and they will be back to normal. Sometimes my car diesels out when i turn it off too
