10 bolt rearwith goodies
84 7.5" 10 bolt rear. Broke it two years ago and replace the axles with 28 spline axles from a 91 z28. The differential is an eaton posi with 4:30 gears. Had a little gear whine when I last drove it. Pulled it out to put a moser rear and tubular suspension under the car for the big block. Pulled the nine inch out and have a FS thread for that as well as the suspension. The bigblock is getting two hair dryers mounted in front of it so just trying to liquidate some parts. Rear is located in winter haven Florida and I'm asking 450 picked up
I can text pics to anyone interested
Thanks

Re: 10 bolt rearwith goodies
Rebuild? Maybe I worded it wrong. Thanks for the heads up.
I broke the 26 spline stock axles two years ago. Replaces them with the 28 spline one and eaton posi and added 4:33 gearing. Drove the setup til I bought a moser nine inch to better handle the big block
Sorry for any confusion guys.
Again thanks niceroc

You also stated it has gear whine in the first post, leading to believe it will soon need a rebuild.

Most aftermarket gears develop a whine prematurely. Inless you have them treated. My daily driven Cherokee has gear whine at 200,000 miles. Does that mean Chrysler set them up wrong?

Re: 10 bolt rearwith goodies
IDK, how many miles are on the rear in question. I don't want to start a pissing match.
Best of luck with your sale. Some people are not concerned with gear noise, so it may sell.

No pissing match intended. Just saying they will almost always develop gear whine. This one endured probably 13,000 street miles with many trips to the drag strip behind a 383 on a 175 shot. No delay, full shot out of the hole at 3600 rpm on a footbrake.
