Axle/Gears: DTS 12 bolt 3.73 eaton posi
Dougs Full Length Headers w BMR K member
I have a set of dougs full length headers on the car now with the stock k member. I had to dimple (pretty bad) the passenger side header to get it to fit around where the lower a arm bolts to the k member. Was just wondering if the BMR k member will give me more room.

wow, u really thrashed those headers, my dougs longtubes on my stock k member fit fine, although the engine is out of the car right now so i cant show any pics, but u must have a tweaked frame or something.plus that last tube is a slip tube, you should of not welded it. you see the cut on the flange you are suppose to cut all the way through, i know they dont cut them all the way when u buy them. you really should buy a new set of headers, cause you just wasted them.

So whats the answer to my question, my headers are fine I have a welder. Thanks for the feedback. Slip tube or no tube they still didnt fit. My 84 must be different from the newer ones, I drove my friends yea they just felt different.

Maybe my Brodix aluminum race rite heads are making them not fit. What kind of starter are you using with dougs full length.

well, the dougs identical to hooker 2210 except they have thicker flanges. i know those dougs will fit in any year 82-92 camaro or firebird. i pretty sure there is someone on this site that has those heads and those headers. you really should take advantage of the slip tube, cause if you do u can install those headers with only three tube then install the 4th tube. you wont be able to install those headers unless u crush the tube like you did without removing the slip tube.

You can always modify the stock k-member
i had to cut and modify about 5 to 7 peaces on
the k-member and a-arm ears to keep my header primaries from looking like yours hahaha.
