Re: headman headers?

Best bang for the buck headers out there, I prefer them over hookers and they don't even compare to edelbrocks restrictive collectors. For the money, they can't be beat. I only wish they made a 3" ypipe instead of 2.5", but I plan on fixing that up. The 68471's gave me a 20 rwhp boost on my stock 350 TPI. 2.5" exhaust was my only other mod. Just make sure you get all 90' plug wires and heat sleeves for them, or you'll roast em.

Re: headman headers?

Great headers, I love them... pretty easy to install and as mentioned you need different wires but I also recall needing to use shorty plugs as well.

Re: headman headers?

I got away with stock spec plugs from champion, but I have angle plug heads, you may need shorties with straight plugs

Re: headman headers?

great set of headers. i picked up almost half a second on my 305. and yes with stock heads you will need shorty plugs and 90 degree wires.

Re: headman headers?

Great headers, easy to install, and cheap compared to the Hookers. Require slight modification to clear the drivers side a-arm. Little tap with a hammer. Nothing serious. May want to invest in a starter heat shield. It gets a little hot with the long tubes.

I have them also, a 3" pipe will not fit w/ the stock oil pan and stock crossmember. I built a custom pipe that starts as 3" and necks down to 2.75" and it's a very tight fit:

On stock heads they fit fine with normal plugs & 90 deg. boots

Re: headman headers?

i run the HTC coated headers, i like them, i'm running world product s/r torquer heads with ac delco straight plugs, no clearance issues, had to use 90 degree boots.
