Exhaust touches oil pan.

It barely touches my oil pan.

What problems will this cause? Will it cause any?

Like I said its barley touching and It maneuverable I need to hang it up to my frame. So if I could put something there to prevent any damage like heat wrap or something just tell me.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

Not trying to bump or anything but if anyone can give me info that would be awesome. I did research and couldn't find anything, ill continue to look.

Here is a picture, see it just barely touches. There is no y pipe, its straight duals all the way back.

Re: Exhaust touches oil pan.

You do need to slow down and double check everything before you fire it up. If not, you might be in for a bigger setback.

As far as your exhaust pipe, can you loosen the flange and give it a little twist? Prying it might even bend it enough to keep it from touching. As a general rule, vibrating parts should never come in contact with each other. It makes wierd noises, but even worse, the thinner one will eventually rub through.

Re: Exhaust touches oil pan.

I would put a very small dent in the pipe right there, and wrap the pipes with insulating wrap.

Re: Exhaust touches oil pan.

Thanks Ill do what you suggested!

And its not that they built the pipe wrong, they were made for different headers. It even tells me that some cutting and bending may need to be done and if you look closely at the picture you can see I already added an extension lol. Almost made it!

But thanks for the advice! This is really good news, ill be on the road in no time! : )
