My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
My 1992 Camaro! It has the L03 305 with TBI, modded with open element, hi flow cat, 2.5in pipe from y pipe back, 160 degree thermostat. flow master 10 series, and custom tune. Saved close to 120lbs with fiberglass hood, aluminum drive shaft, aluminum drums, etc. Let me know what you think, kind of a rare exhaust for a Camaro, having flowmaster 10 series on anything is rare around here, just me and my buddy's S10 with ZQ8 suspension and a mean *** 4.3L!

Sounds mean, liked the countryside shots. Sounds like you well on your restorative way. Always liked a clean looking white camaro

Not really rare but sounds like any other 305 to me. Also fix your idle.

Re: My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
I have to disagree with you Carlos773, it doesn't sound like anyother 305. I should know, I've gone through five different mufflers on two differeint 305 L03 cars. I've tried stock, and flowmaster 80 series on my first Camaro. Now my current Camaro came with an Edelbrock RPM Muffler, switched to a magnaflow (by far the WORST of the five IMHO), and now I have my flowmaster 10 series which is by far the most aggressive sounding one. No 305's around here were I live sound like my car..
Dmans85 thanks for the compliments, feels good to hear things like that every once in awhile about my car. Not sure what color I'm going with yet lol. I'll keep trying to finish my restoration of my car, hard with the economy and everything, feel like its advancing at a snails pace!

Re: My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
I couldn't hear very well since I listened to it on a phone, but to me it sounded just like another 305 with a loud muffler. Actually sounded A LOT like mine used too when you gassed it but mine had no cat. I agree that your idle sounds poor but like I said, bad sound quality for me.
What would sound sick would be some long tubes on there man, probably do more than that fiberglass hood for performance too. What would sound way sicker would be a cheap 350 swap with longtubes...
And nice color lol seems we share a similar paint job lol. I understand completely about the damn snails pace... everything seems to take forever but hey it feels awesome when you get something big accomplished doesn't it?

It sounds like a slow car trying to sound fast, the same complaints people have with fart cans on 4 cyl cars.

Re: My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
Well, I guess everyone has the right to their opinion. I personally think that it sounds damn good. It was never my intention to make my car sound fast, I just wanted it to actually sound like a V8, not a V6. I'm not trying to get a 9 second car, 13's would be fine with me. I'm more of a cruise person anyways, but I do enjoy going fast! If I wanna stick with my 305 because it's in my car, that's my thing. I will look for any vacuum leaks or manifold leaks. Thanks for the positive, and negative feed back. Leave more if you want, it's all good!

Re: My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
My old 305 setup even with stock exhaust sounded no where near a v6..
Have fun making a L03 get well into the 13s. I did almost everything you can think off, Hedman Longtubes, H Pipe into a pair of Borlas. EBL. LT1 Cam and RPM Intake. Last few mods left were rockers and I know I was not even close to get deep into the 13s.
There has been alot of people with the same setup as yours, I ran about 4 setups on my old L03 setup and my Longtubes setup sounded the best of all.

not a big fan of the sound. it will probably sound better after you get the idle straightened out. and what was the deal with the magnaflow? i just got my 3 and 1/2 inlet dual 2 and 1/2 outlet today at it looks like its put together well( and they sound awesome on the mustangs IMO). was it not loud enough for you or what? and good luck with the rest of the car!

Honestly, for me, no the Magnaflow wasn't loud enough for me. Yea it sounded good at higher RPM's, but I wanted my car to sound good at an idle...which everyone keeps telling me to fix. Still looking into my idle.

Re: My305 L03 Camaro with Flowmaster 10 series, FEED BACK PLEASE!
It does idle high for a TBI. There's the off chance someone had dicked with the idle set screw trying to solve another running issue. It was common for carb'd car owners to just raise the idle to deal with low RPM running issues.
Do a search to set the minimum air idle. It may just be a simple throttle stop issue.
