Re: true dual help

I will post some pics tomorrow. I made mine entirely out of 45, 90, 180 degree turns I bought off Summit and Jegs. So hold tight!

some shops are ridiculous, no shop around here can bend anything over 3 inch and can only do up to 45 degrees on 3 inch...

anyways, i am making my own and only have the back section done. it took (3) 45 bends to get over the axle and go tight against the floor board. you can see pics towards the end of my thread.

Re: true dual help

i was just showing how the bends needed if you wanted to go through that hole. now the drivers side is easier and would only take 2 45s

if you want to see strictly dual set ups go to the sticky at the top... its a true dual compilation. it has all the routing and pics of everyone set ups. good luck

Re: true dual help

Well theres a reason people dont run duals over the axle in these cars. You can squeeze a smaller pipe through there, but dont expect anything 2.5+ to go over that panhard bar and not get smashed every time you hit a bump.

I've never seen it done successfully. Most of the well-done setups are joined to a single pipe or they run both pipes along driveshaft and over the other side of the axle where there's room. But it's a lot easier and cheaper and it's better for performance to run a single large pipe over the axle than two small ones.

You might be better off running them under the axle, although that's annoying in some ways.

Couple of observations

1. Very well done. I like your hangers too. Looks very nice.
2. A dual over the axle is expensive and difficult. A single pipe might actually work better due to less internal surface area (drag). After the crossover the engine doesnt care if it's a single or dual, and in fact the single pipe actually functions as the perfect x-pipe and works better. HOWEVER, duals will probably sound much cooler and for that I salute you for going through the extra trouble .I cant imagine the performance difference would be much. Probably within the margin of error of most dynos.
3. Is that a modified madhammer/GMMG muffler setup?

This setup was originally going to go on my fathers Camaro which had a completely built 383 Stroker. Unfortunately we ran into had times about a year or so ago and had to sell it off. So we just modified it a little to go on my car.

All in all it took me about a month in a half to do it. BUT that is working on the weekends only and a couple week nights.

It sounds amazing and always gets peoples attention for a completely stock 350

And yes it is basically a GMMG setup using Classic Chambered Powersticks.

Also I'm probably heading to the Dyno within the next month and we'll see. But I can defiantly tell the throttle response and acceleration is 1000 times better.
