Beware TTA 1G5FW2178KL236789
It's on eBay for $25,500 OBO
It was sold with structural damage for $7025 and it appears the engine picture on eBay is not the same car.
I would hazard a guess just by looking at the auction it wasn't repaired correctly.
I bought a TTA in similar condition once, but arguably not this bad!
I hate to see someone else get screwed.
Apparently minor damage
Looks like an easy fix right?
MAF Translator and Ugh! I think I see the structural damage the auction calls out.
eBay engine photo, hey, where is my MAF translator, and why is this picture soooo much smaller than all the other ones?
Insurance auction $7025
eBay 6-5-22 $25,500 OBO
T/A Fenders? Common.
This guy literally spared no expense (none at all!) to fix this.

The rust! Whoever buys that will be digging into that rust for the rest of their life.
On another note, will you be at the Gm nationals in Calise, PA this year?

Odometer has likely been tampered with also...Carfax shows it as having 105K in 2014. Hawaii car through at least 2019, which explains all the rust. Also shows an accident in 2020 with damage to the right front, which looks like it's in the earlier photos.

vin swap? maybe they swapped all components into a clean t/a? otherwise, why on earth would they put vented fenders on it?

Bottom of fenders could have been rusted out too, and concealed by the ground effects...very common rust area if the cowl drains are clogged, even in cars that aren't exposed to salt.

There are more pictures in the TTA Facebook group.
From the looks of things, this car was actually way worse, and the guy who bought it in Hawaii dressed it up to look like this before the auction.
So, yes, this car was much much worse than the pics I posted would lead you to believe.
When Dynacorn starts making 3rd Gen bodies, this car wouldn't be bad to be into cheap, but until then. I'd stay far away from it.

thats my bet. the guy found a mint standard t/a of the correct color for $7-8k and swapped all the tta stuff into it. since it was mint, it wasnt worth changing the front fenders and having to repaint.. would love to see if the vin stickers were still on the doors and inside the fenders and such. the original tta had rotted out a pillars and was a total loss imo. would bet money on a vin swap.

They didn't bother to use a GTA or at least Bondo the **** out of fenders and paint it a bit. The hood doesn't line up, the front bumper doesn't line up, and he puts stuff in the auction listing that makes it clear it's had significant damage.
Obvious odometer issues, AND it's a particular car a couple of thousand people have owned. Every one of the 1550 cars are virtually identical. It has a small dedicated user community of car guys (and gals) that knows them like the back of their hand, who pay attention to the auction prices and have the Vins and production sequence of everyone built.
It's such a stupid thing to put online it's almost laughable.
I wish I had pictures of the one I stripped, it was in 10 times better shape than that thing was and we thought it was beyond hope!
