OMG - there is overpay everywhere on that thing. It's in nice shape, but dang -- the paint is sloppy.

The car isn't perfect but it is very nice. It's hard to find a '82-'84 Z28 in this kind of shape anymore. Especially one that's got documented records like this car does.

Looks really nice! I only saw a bit of overspray around the tag under the hood…maybe I missed the rest.
The rear wiper throws me off though…I didn't think they put those on till '86?? Has the car been in a collision in the past?
EDIT: It's a good price too! I wouldn't buy it myself because I couldn't do any kind of mods to a nice original like that! It needs to stay bone stock…even though most mini vans will take it at every stoplight…lol. Still looks awesome!

I keep looking for over-spray... Maybe my untrained eye cannot spot it... can someone please point it out.

Nice car. I don't see any overspray. Only thing I see is the rubber hood levelers on the front are painted over.
Otherwise tools great.

Ive never seen the black part in front the hood flaps painted like that. It looks like someone repainted the hood and was lazy masking. it's a lot easier to just mask at the upper level than to run masking tape down the sides of the channels.

I suspect alot of people think these cars have been repainted because those rubber levelers are painted ..... but how many resprays like most of these cars would see shoot any paint under the hood ?
Id be more suspect if they weren't painted.

The black part in front of the hood flaps aren't painted....decals...stickers. At least my 83 was. I had a heck of a time peeling them off and getting rid of the goop.
The hood levelors or bump stops may or may not be painted...mine never were, still black and my car was charcoal gray originally. I got the car from the original owner, never wrecked....except for the dents on the underside of the front fenders from running over a parking block..lol

I don't see any overspray. Please tell me where there is so much of it. On the side of the dash, there is a red reflection from the open doors, but that isn't overspray.
82-84 Z28 hoods were all decal'd in the indent, not painted. This hood was repainted, at least in this area.
All hood levelers were painted. They were installed on the car prior to paint, because the hood was installed prior to paint. If you have black levelers, you either have a black car or they were replaced because people kept commenting that the car was repainted (like they do to me all the time).
JackieGeorge, you might want to take back your comments, because you are wrong and InfernalVortex is right.

Re: 1 owner 1983 Z28 LU5 on ebay
Sorry I wasnt very clear about what I meant. I've seen it painted, or decal'd or whatever, just never along the sides of the channel. Only the "floor" of the channels are usually accented. The fact that this one has paint all the way up the sides bothers me and I htink it looks bad.
This is mine, and I did this with plastidip and it was major pain in the butt to do it this way and i didnt even do a very good job. But it looks a lot better than the original car up there:

I could also see the outline of the old decal on the hood before I painted that in. it's pretty obvious the black part isnt supposed to run up the sides of the channel.

Now I see what you mean....yeah, the black didn't originally go up the sides of the channel that way. Personally, I don't think it looks bad, just not original....like your front clip. :-)
Both are very nice nonetheless!

Re: 1 owner 1983 Z28 LU5 on ebay
The car on ebay got pin stripped at some point and maybe they did the hood black out's at the same time. Even though it not original.... with paint it makes sence to go up the side of the in dents... where with stickers you really can't.
It's hard to find factory perfomance cars that don't have some type of little tweeks by it's owner..... That's why the untouched ones start to really become rare.
