Tanks for the legwork and trying. Put this here hoping some of u restoration and code buffs seen one of these. Imagine not many people went with the AM only option. Original owner knew he was putting in an aftemarket one and saved the few bucks when he ordered it. I'm curious to see if one can be tracked down to put back inside as it was from the factory
I've got a std. am from an'84 s-10 pickup that i'm
pretty sure is the same as camaro(i couldn't find a pic
of an'85 camaro base radio either LOL)I don't have a
way to get a pic of this up,but it is part#16035881
and is meant to use 2 dash speakers.
The AM radio is at the upper right in the diagram below. It was mechanically tuned and available with or without digital clock. The version without a clock will have a large "Delco" emblem in its place.

Interesting. As a side note, I was always led to believe that early cars equipped with an AM radio, because there was no digital clock, were also equipped with the analog, console mounted quartz clock--which was how my car originally came. A fuzzy pic can be seen in my Car Details below.

here you go-this came out of my 1985 lb9 iroc that i purchased new in 1985. there is also a circular analog clock that is mounted in the console that you get when you have this am radio. i still have the car and can remember trying to find one with roll up windows and an am radio.
If grumpy isn't willing to part with his AM radio, I have an AM/FM radio like in the above-linked brochure posted by Iroctopless, also the same as on the bottom right in the diagram posted by Dens.
I'd ordered it in my '83 Z28, and I pulled it out the first day I had the car, when it was brand new. I already had a Delco EQ/Cassette radio for the car, but I wanted the car built for stereo, so I ordered the cheapest stereo option.
I don't know why I kept it, but through all my moves over the years, I still have it. It's brand new, and, I assume, works fine. I know it isn't what you're looking for, but it's an available option for you(or anyone else), if you can't get ahold of the AM radio you're looking for.
