classic industries usually has all the emblems and stickers, or try ebay.

change the oil regularly, change all the fuel filters, air filter ect, all the usually stuff and the car should last a good long time.

Re: 86 T/a questions.

I'm pretty sure there was never a blue GTA, hence there aren't any blue emblems. If you have your heart set on a clone, then go for it. But keep in mind most people that are at all familar with these cars will probably be able to spot it as a fake. Honestly, a nice clean mostly original car stands out regardless of how it's badged. It doesn't matter to me if it's a base model or a GTA, as long as it's clean.

Re: 86 T/a questions.

There actually was a 1992 GTA "80U -- Exterior Color, Medium Quasar Blue Metallic" that Frankie shows as only 15 of the 1992 GTAs had that color option.

I recall Frankie actually spotting one, for the first time, in 2008:
http://www.gtasourcepage.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=51080

The Compnine website supports Frankie's number as it shows there was "Answer: Of the 22,334 vehicles in our database matching the year and model, 15 have all of those rpo codes." with both Y84 and 80U.

Apparently, the Quasar Blue emblems are available:

Re: 86 T/a questions.

I am surprised, with only 15 GTAs in 1992 having that option, and it not being an optional color on any other GTA model year, that those emblems are available. It appears that color was also available on the Trans AM, but those emblems definately and obviously wouldn't be interchangeable with a Trans AM.

Re: 86 T/a questions.

I have a 1992 GTA with that paint color and those emblems I am working on restoring right now. I need a center console and a factory radio to make things complete inside. Glad to know I have a limited number car I bought for 900.00 but needed a lot of work. I bought it last week and finally got all the electronics working with the exception of the passenger side power window. It will be a long road to recovery and it needs some body work and a new paint job. In the end it should be worth it. !!

Actually, lacking the 350, it doesn't even approach a GTA (your Ford heritage is showing) !

Just saw one of those blue 1992 GTA`s last month in a maryland junkyard. It was a 350 TPI car with a 10 bolt disc pbr rear. The car was mostly complete just missing the rims and tail lights. What a shame. The GTA Emblems were gone but I did get the 2 birds off the sail panels
